what cpu cooler are you using? 

i got an ultrawide for productivity, and it does that very well. i'm considering a different monitor for gaming some time in the future because ultrawide support is so limited and i dislike playing in windowed mode

You can just run games at 1080p full screen for perfect scaling, or in a 1440p window

Youtube 4k is not a good measure of 4k

4k > 21:9 any day for the extra vertical pixels.

Videos in 21:9 ratio is even more difficult to find
 
1440p ultrawide is only good if you want more desktop space. It's not like games will perform at the two resolutions any better than the other since it's a 1060 after all.

I don't know about external enclosures for M.2 drives but if all you need to do is back up data that's on it then you can buy PCI_e daughter boards that you install the drive on then install in a PCI_e slot.

They don't make them.  I'm fairly certain that it would only work on a Thunderbolt connection anyway.  The NVMe protocol runs on a PCIe interface (as opposed to AHCI, which runs on a SATA interface).

Remove the m.2 drive from laptop,plug it into the adapter,then plug it into the mobo and back up the data.

I really want the 1060 tho, and right now this is the only laptop that has a 1060 and looks good, I will just throw a dbrand skin on it and it looks like a black macbook lol, the dell xps 15 is another choice because it looks professional and that amazing screen but it only has a 1050

There are plenty of good boards, the ASUS one is great, that is the brand I personally stick with. If you don't want to watercool than maybe something like a Noctua D15 or Cryrorig R1, but those are pretty huge and for not much more money you can get a decent AIO

I like listening to Linus rant about stuff.
But he would need to censor himself. Otherwise if he just goes on a rant on say, manufacturer X and then said manufacturer sees that rant(because you just know people will go to social media and blast that company based on his rant, because stupidity) and decides that it doesn't appreciate being the target of said rant, may blacklist Linus from receiving further products.
 
So really, just keep the rants on WAN show when needed, instead of making dedicated rant videos about whatever grinds his gear at the time. Will be better for the future of LTT.

I would hope they're not known for faulty RAM as they're a pretty big supplier of DRAM. If they were faulty, a lot of other brands would be faulty as they use SK Hynix chips. 
 
Basically, they're trusted. 
 
EDIT: Remember that big fire in 2013 that caused a hike in RAM prices due to a big supplier losing fabrication factories? That was SK Hynix, they're a major player ($13.3 Billion revenue in 2013)

I would agree with what you said before with the 460X, that is just a good all round case 

I would agree that if you don't need a laptop for school or traveling a lot then you should get a Micro ATX, there are some really good cases such as the Fractal Design Nano that are small and look great
