  1. yeah I have a 2600x and a 5700XT, maybe i should just do a sata ssd instead of the two pcies
  2. I was thinking about two pcie m.2 drives, sorry didnt say that
  3. So I have a 2600x and a Asus ROG B450-F and im looking to get some m.2 drives and im getting confused if I can run 2 M.2 drives or not, cant tell if some of my sata ports will be disabled or if my gpu wont run at x16 speeds. Not sure how pcie lanes work on AMD and if its added the same as intel. Any help would be appreciated. Mobo specs https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/specifications/
  4. you can try http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/ or i might be wrong but i swear that HWmonitor has that
  5. well I would think either something is overheating (not gpu) or your PSU is running out of power, have you checked other temps, maybe also check psu loads
  6. you must be fun at parties.... there is a difference in severity of different rules my guy
  7. i think there is a difference between committing a real crime and having a router.... loosen up mate
  8. i mean ive already had people yell at me for having a damn toaster so im not really worried about getting in trouble, everything is a slap on the wrist edit: I dont think its that big of a deal since my only use for it is to get the stuff i have to work... im not trying to get around any firewalls or blocking of stuff
  9. does it show up in the mac install disk utility? it needs to be in mac os extended
  10. it needs to be in mac os extended if its a separate drive from windows
  11. is it a separate disk than your windows drive?
  12. what is the hard drive formatted in?
  13. Well first id ask your budget and what you do with it, and like what games you play. If you spend most of the time gaming i would get the RTX because then you could better run games at those high framerates
  14. how would you make a hidden SSID?
  15. well the school wifi has a username and password that is different for everyone but the ethernet does not (dont even know if you could) but thats why I thought about using that
  16. well i guess i shouldnt tell you where i am (im not at UM) but yes I was planning on technically breaking the rules... I just want to know if it would work
  17. So I am in college and the internet we have here is kinda limited, my main issue is with my Amazon echo and other similar things, my thought was can i just buy a really cheap router and plug it into my ethernet port. Would I be able to set up my own wifi with that? I was probably going to get something like the TP-Link N300, because internet speed is not a issue for echo and things of that sort. So my question is can I create any wifi just from any ethernet hookup?
  18. Looking at the MSI monitor it seems like thats TN not VA, not sure if you care anymore but Acer makes a very very similar monitor except its VA to the one you got. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824011198&ignorebbr=1
  19. which one was it? because it seems like 1440p can sometimes be just as expensive as 4k
  20. So i just picked up a 4k 27in LG monitor and I have been enjoying it but ive been thinking about returning it for a 34in 1440p Ultrawide. Im realizing how difficult it is to drive games (obviously since i have a 1060) and how hard it is to find 4k content on anything other than youtube. I really cant decide now if the ultrawide is worth about a extra 200. I would like opinions from people that have owned or tried either, I feel like honestly in games I cant tell the difference of 4k, and I have tried games where I can crank the video settings all the way up and i dont know if its me or what but I am having trouble telling that its 4k. Same goes for youtube, anything other than the nature videos I have trouble telling that it is 4k (mind you without seeing it side by side) Any opinions would be appreciated.
  21. im kinda sick of the dual monitor life, I want to be able to use the full thing when im actually gaming, thats why i want a ultrawide
  22. So I have had dual 1080p monitors for years and finally think its time to upgrade, I am thinking about getting a 34in 1440p IPS ultrawide. I'm looking for suggestions from the $500 - $600 ish range, I would prefer if it is curved and has a good stand. Are HDR ultrawides a thing yet and if so are they decently cheap? Also if you think I should get a 27in 4k monitor let me know. I am going to use this for gaming but for mainly productivity and multi media consumption.
