  1. Hello, I feel really dumb but i can't find a thunderbolt to sata cable anywhere, do they make them? i have a 2013 macbook air so i dont have usb type c and I want to be able to plug an ssd for external video storage.
  2. So, im still rocking my old iphone 6s and i have a crack in the corner of the screen and i decided to replace the screen. I have replaced half a dozen or so screens before so its not new to me. However, after i replace the screen, nothing shows on it. I tried puttting the old screen back on and nothing happened. It acts like it turns on cause i can tell because it vibrates when plugging into the charger. HOWEVER, when i plug it into a computer it vibrates super weakly like ive never felt before and it isnt detected by the computer. I tried looking at the connections but i havent been able to get it to work. Is my phone completely screwed? is there anyway i can get my data off of it? Is there any recommendation of where i could take it or who i could contact? Thank u for any help, i really would like my phone back, this sucks.
  3. Yeah I don't need necessarily the latest and greatest, seemed like a quality unit and its fully modular and it's not like it's used so I thought it was a good idea to snag it up.
  4. lol just saw a killer deal on ebay for a brand new EVGA 750w 80+_Gold Fully Modular Power Supply, so i just ordered one, so now i should never have to worry about my PSU
  5. So, I was wondering as the title says. I have an EVGA 500 BR power supply, which seems to be good quality. Currently I have a 3770s and a GTX 1070 and is obviously fine, but I don't know if I upgrade to a 3770k and overclock it, if that would be pushing the edge and wouldn't be enough power. Thanks for any replies.
  6. I sit closer to my monitor then most people so, honestly 24 inches is the perfect size. I ended up going with the lenovo monitor. It looks great and the pixel density is fantastic. Feels worlds sharper than my 1080p monitor
  7. I'm looking to upgrade my monitor, and I'm struggling which one I should get. I've only so much money I'm willing to spend, but I've found two monitor within my price range. However, I don't which one I would enjoy more. I do play competitive games like rocket league and overwatch, so I would feel as though the 1ms response time and 144hz would be super nice. But at the same time, I would really like a little higher res than 1080p, but the 1440p monitor i found in my price range has a 6ms response time. It is also an IPS monitor so it has way better colors. I currently am running a 21 inch 1080p Ips monitor that has served me well, but I would like an upgrade. These are the two monitors. https://www.microcenter.com/product/482600/l24q-20-238-wqhd-75hz-hdmi-dp-led-monitor https://www.microcenter.com/product/513781/g2460fq-24-full-hd-144hz-dvi-hdmi-dp-gaming-led-monitor
  8. So, recently I resurrected my old pc with a 3770s paired with a gtx 1070. I got a good deal for the 3770s, and I didn't think it would bottleneck my gtx 1070, but I noticed it does in some games. Now, I'm looking at upgrading to a 3770k and I was wondering if a 500w psu would be sufficient.
  9. trust me u will notice a huge difference between 60 hz and 144 hz i personally use a 1080p 60hz monitor at 21 inches and I find the screen size perfect for me since I sit close to my screen, and the pixel density is slightly less than a 27 inch 1440p monitor so it's not bad. If u play most fps I would say get the 144hz but if I were u I would try and see both in person at a retail store like Best Buy or something.
  10. I have a MacBook air 13 from 2014 and i love it. I am originally a PC user and i have a gaming desktop, but MacBooks have amazing keyboards, battery life, and build quality. I love both pcs and macs, but U have to admit apple knows how to make a laptop. Plus, i know that it isn't on the new MacBook pro but the MagSafe power connector is awesome. Basically to get a pc of equal build quality and power u end up essentially paying close to the same price.
  11. ok i would prefer one that supports 60 hz but i dunno if its worth the $10 extra bucks....... i dont wanna be a console scrub
  12. so this cable would work fine right? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YONKZ72/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1RI0YHZ8J2HZU
  13. yeah the input on the tv is hdmi 2.0. I assume it should work I just didnt know if the item description was actually accurate lol thanks
  14. So I recently got a 4k tv from black friday and I want to use its 4k glory, but I have a macbook air 13 inch with a thunderbolt. So, i was going to get an adapter or cable from mini display port to hdmi and I thought it would work, but when i look it up all of them say they support max resolutions of 1080p. So, i was thinking that might be a male to female adapter situation (because the female on the adapter might be hdmi 1.4), but then it said the same for a male to male cable. Basically, I dont want to buy an adapter or cable if its only gunna be 1080p. So, does anyone know for sure it will work? Thanks for the help!
  15. i think apple is actually doing a good thing, even though the product isn't necessarily practical today, the macbook pro is cutting edge in the sense that 4 usb-type c ports is the future of a laptop. In the future, there will be pc laptops like this. Hell, hp has the new thin spectre which only has three usb type c ports. So, it isnt practical now but you cannot deny it is the future and it isnt a terrible thing.
  16. yeah corsair cx power supplies are pretty terrible i would recommend this https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Crossfire-Warranty-220-G2-0750-XR/dp/B00IKDETOW/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469891661&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=evga+600w+gold its more expensive put the cable sleeving is amazing and its an amazing power supply
  17. i literally bought that psu on newegg cause it was on sale for $20 and then i saw all the reviews and i immediately returned it one of the reviews said he gave it three stars cause it looked cool like a firecracker when it blew up on him
  18. i would go with the one with th gtx 1080 and the 6900k because you get improved cpu and gpu pefomance by quite a bit.
  19. im intrigued..... could u tell me how? ive flashed a motherboard bios before but i dont know where i would go to get the apple 5770 bios from
  20. yeah i know who he is i havent watched his video on it though but he 5770 can play overwatch on a 1280x1024 monitor and get 60 fps on the lowest settings with a couple turned up a bit
  21. So, i noticed a garage sale near where i live and i thought i would stop to see if they had anything good for sale and i found this pc. It was listed for $50 and i bargained them down to $40 because it didnt have ram or a hard drive. It's specs are pretty insane for the price. Specs: Generic case not that high quality Amd Phenom x6 1055t processor 6 cores no ram nice gigabyte motherboard of the time ati hd 5770 cooler master 650w 80 plus power supply no storage But, i was amazed to get alll this working hardware for $40 P.S. i have since the picture fixed the cable management
  22. my friend has both cards and for shits and giggles we compared the two
  23. well thats not 4k is it? at 4k the fps is insanely low on the cards and its not as big of a difference
