  1. I tried the 6600k but the game felt somehow worse, like choppy I have to try again overclocking the 6600k to see how it goes, about the budget I would say $350 if I can save that I would use that for an Oculus Rift, I've been over the fence for months to try VR
  2. I already have an Asus ROG MAXIMUS VIII GENE and 32 GB of Ram which CPU would fit best for a GTX 1080? this PC is gonna be for gaming only, at 1080p and 144hz I'm playing a lot of PUBG but I'm not sure if I'm getting held back with my 3770k which is OC'd at 4.20 Ghz I know PUBG is not optimized at all but idk I also have an i5 6600k but I'm not sure if that's enough or still gonna held back with that CPU
  3. My Steam client opens whenever he wants, but today I noticed something strange, I left the small Window "loading" while checking the WiFi network graph, somehow Steam never loads but its downloading data, How? or Why? I must kill the process to try again and see if it opens, only after a few tries it successfully launches Can anyone explain this? this mostly happens when my internet connection is lost and I have to reconnect to another network, for example other router as soon as I killed the Steam process the graph went to zero, whats downloading if it never loads? and why does it struggle so much to open? other programs like Origin, Skype, Discord Dropbox doesn't have this problem they open really quick no matter what, they don't sit in a infinite loop
  4. I have secondary router that I use sometimes it has a built in switch but I want to be able to turn off or on the router from my desk, so I bought this button: https://www.ebay.com/itm/19mm-self-locking-metal-button-switch-power-source-5A-current-SPECIAL-LISTING/302738612455?hash=item467ca0a0e7:m:m90L3ewUN8iKY3v2gROjdaw with this socket: https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Pin-Wire-Connector-Wiring-Socket-Plug-Adapter-For-16-19mm-Push-Button-Switch/272884697047?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=572052811851&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 but I have no idea how to wire it, anyone has experience with those? here's a diagram of what I want:
  5. Hey everybody, I'm using a 750D case and Kingstone hyperx fury ram that's the low profile
  6. What air cooler should I get? its the second time my corsair AIO pump fails, I don't want to see another AIO in my life, plus they're a pain in the ass to install (fans and rad) I have an i7 3770k, gets very toasty at 4.2 Ghz (70º)
  7. So I'm looking for a pair of sandals on Amazon, must be there. and thought, What's the best place to ask this question?
  8. any help? the last test I made it reached 100ºc I had to take the picture with my phone since I knew it was about to crash but for some reason, it didn't So I removed the pump, cleaned and re-applied the thermal paste from a different tube of artic silver this time, a little less paste let it sit for about 2 hours and turned on the PC I connected the Sata plug in a different one this time Temps on Aida64 are 70º to 75º and idle: 45º - 50º Still no hot hair from the radiator only cold What can I do? I have the stock cooler that came with the cpu but I don't think temps will be lower with it at 100%
  9. I checked and I have the latest Bios version:
  10. I did not, I think I have the latest version since I upgraded long ago, tonight I ran Aida64 for 44 minutes it was stable with ok temperatures after that, played two matches of PUBG without any problems. Today I turned on the PC and ran Aida64 for almost 2 minutes, it reached temperatures of 85 and 90 so I stopped the test fast, what is happening?
  11. Hi guys, I purchased an used i7 3770k to replace my 2600 non-k, today it arrived so first thing I did was: removing the old cpu installing the new one, applied some artic silver thermal pasted, mounted the corsair AIO and turned on the machine a screen appared telling me a new cpu was installed press f1 for bios to set-up, so I did and then pressened F10 and saved changes (i didin't knew what else to do) After it booted I ran Aida64 with stress test, it ran like 2 minutes at 100% with 75º (corsair pump in performance and fans at performance) then it crashed I was NOT overclocking just stock settings and boom blue screen of death Restarted the PC and ran PUBG, it ran well for 3 minutes before going to the plane phase it crashed again blue screen of death I will run it again to take a picture of the error, I'm sorry I don't have it yet but will update ASAP please help! I never heard of a broken CPU EDIT 1: Opened Aida64 to stress test again to take the picture of the blue screen error and saw this in the program:
  12. I'm glad you said that about the SSD, the last I want is to format those drives that would be a pain in the ass, damn this sucks and I don't know anyone with other processor socket 1551 to try that
  13. are you sure? this says browns are 6Gb/s that's where the SSD is connected this is my mobo:
  14. can't distingue from here, too many cables but it should be connected into the 6gb/s port
  15. intensive fights gets you to 40 FPS also when you drop from the plane you can see how the frames drop badly, jumping in hot areas like school o pecado gives me very low frames too, that' doesn't happen with the other CPU tho, I get like 100 frames with the i5
  16. I just recorded this video, with all the cores info I don't see anything about 65% usage please watch:
  17. Hi there, today I swapped the GPU again to the i7 system, so I checked the CPU usage with msi afterburner while playnig PUBG, CPU usage sits at 40% or even 60% but that's it today I uninstalled the nvidia drivers using DDU but I still get bad frames
  18. an used 3770k seems like a good option to replace that old 2600 non-k since is for gaming (PUBG) should I go with the 3570k instead?
  19. I have not monitored that, what I confirmed is i'm getting better frame performance with the i5 6600k
