Best CPU for a GTX 1080 and PUBG?
Romano replied to Romano's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I come from a time where amd cpu's used to heat really bad but you're right there's a first time for everything, I just searched and seems like its gonna be a good chip and since amd is doing so well in the cpu market it might worth the wait, I was thinking going with intel since its the best for gaming right now and ryzen is good for gaming but not the best, IF I don't want what would be your cpu recommendation right now? trying to save a buck if possible -

I saw the 9700k costs $400 that might be the highest I can go for a CPU, about the mobo: I will use a full tower atx case like I said I need good audio and if possible wifi integrated and bluetooth? thatd be nice -

Best CPU for a GTX 1080 and PUBG?
Romano replied to Romano's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I'm not into a rush but honestly I've been an intel user all my life, don't feel much comfortable with amd chips -
So... I been living under a rock recently and lost the track of CPU models, currently I have an i5 6600k OC'd to 4.60 Ghz but I feel like its bottlenecking my GTX 1080, in PUBG CPU runs almost all the time at 100% and when it hits 100% I get stutter and choppy behaviour I know PUBG is not perfectly optimized but that's what I play I also need a good mobo for that CPU with good audio chip for my sennheiser x58 headphones, I'm not planning on buying a dac/amp so a good chip would be nice, I currently have a ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII GENE but the audio pops sometimes and it's really unpleasant, I'm thinking about trying a different brand this time, idk. Price is a problem I'm not into super high enthusiast level$$$, I just want to play PUBG without hiccups want to get all the juice possible from my 1080 and decent audio for sennheiser headphones by the way I'm playing on a 144hz monitor at 1080p, I got a Corsair AIO for cooling Hope you guys can help me, Thanks!

Format the C drive or the backup drive too? the backup drive (D) its where all the files are appearing
-
I already tried that, doesn't work. I suspect that's a generic article and all they do is changing the name of the virus, like a general solution or something. Followed all the steps and nothing.
-
I already tried Malwarebytes, no luck.

Hi everybody, I just wanted to say I'm desperate, like a mouse in a corner. It's been weeks since I started to notice it, in my D drive there's copies of folders but with .exe extensions, I also noticed .scr, .rar, .pif and others that I don't remember at the moment, all file sizes are like 500kb and have the same names of my known files or folders, I delete them and 1 or two days later they're back. Happens only in the (Backup drive) as far as I know, I used to have some of those files in my B drive but they stopped showing there. I know I have to delete the Virus in order to stop creating those files but I can't find it, used Defender, Malwarebytes, Arovax, Ccleaner, Bitdefender and no luck! the files still appearing after a short time! Bitdefender identifies the threat as Backdoor.Generic.792814 but I can't find anything online useful for that threat. I don't want to format my PC right now, I'm busy with some things from work and the last thing I need is losing more time formatting and installing all programs again (also games). Feeling with the water on my neck, anyone can help me?

What I am doing wrong? Set startup program as administrator
Romano replied to Romano's topic in Troubleshooting
if I double click the program it runs (as administrator) if I press on Run button of the Task: http://prntscr.com/lsv0k2 it runs the program, but when I restart to see if it works it doesn't run the program automatically, I checked the path and is the correct path. Don't know what to do -

Found the issue, I noticed that 100% of the time that I opened Chrome the mouse would lag as hell too, for just a few seconds while it was loading up, I went and started closing everything in the Tray bar then went to open Chrome and Poof! no lag at all, I restarted and started closing one by one to see which one was causing the mouse lag, it was the SONIC STUDIO II from Asus, I closed it and launched PUBG resulting in no lag or stuttering I'm downloading a newer version of audio drivers to see if they corrected the issue but I don't have much faith, I don't have to set the CPU priority of PUBG to very low anymore the game runs just fine, I will do more testing before adding OC again, but everything runs well IF Sonic Studio II is closed, which sucks because I really like the options it gives you, Music and in-game sounds are way better with it on.

Main client on SSD and Test server on HDD, I'm currently playing Test server only I disabled my OC and now the performance is awful, so much stuttering, Impossible to play unless I set the CPU priority of PUBG to low, and even in that setting the performance is very bad, don't know what else to do
-
yes, I disabled my OC and now my game performance is way worse
-
CPU and Ram @stock settings I'm experiencing stuttering on PUBG, when I open chrome cpu usage goes to 100% which is fine but my mouse lags while it happens, it didn't happened with my old i7 3770k

Case 750D so I have a 3.0 USB portable Toshiba HDD, when I plug in it in any of the two blue 3.0 front ports, the HDD led lights white, when I plugin it in the back of the case it lights up blue, If I'm right then is not receiving full 3.0 speed from the front ports, why? I'm using a Sabertooth Z77 I have read the manual and it says it supports 3.0 in the front port. I oredered an oculust rift and I want to make sure I can use the front 3.0 ports without having any performance issue. Can someone help me to verify what's going on and check if the front ports are really 3.0?

lets forget about HDMI then lets leave that for video only, what if I connect an RCA cable to the projector for the audio where could I connect the other end so I can use the speakers?
-
uhm no, I've seem some metal boxes like this: http://www.schiit.com/products/sys but I have 3 cables coming out from my speakers, right now all the 3 cables goes to the PC but now that I'm installing directv with the projector, I want to be able to use the speakers there too, I need an option to disable the speakers from the PC and enable them in the projector Edit: the projector will connect to the directv box via HDMI, I'm not sure if there's a way to use the HDMI to transmit the audio signal to the speakers I saw this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073TTS9QG/?coliid=I1UMFTVUEQD2ZR&colid=2UVFJ8LS1OKRR&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&tag=linus21-20 but I have no idea of how it works
-
This is the setup I have: I want to use those same speakers in a projector with Directv any idea of what do I need to buy to switch between sources? I saw this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073TTS9QG/?coliid=I1UMFTVUEQD2ZR&colid=2UVFJ8LS1OKRR&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it but I'm noob at this, I want to buy the right thing
