144 fps at 1440 is tough in some titles even with 2 780s so you will actually make use of it  i enjoy the benefits of Gsync on my 144hz Swift and on my GT72 2QE-1449 75hz Gsync laptop

in terms of power i am drawing just over 900-1000w from the wall so wanted to try and drop that a bit but if it wouldn't change that's fine too i guess

the TIM on my two 780s was fine though

go with 3/8 ID 5/8 OD tubing its the more widely used tubing
 
go with the d5 Vario pump combo
 
i would go with a 360mm rad if possible or  two 240s if you can fit them otherwise a single 240 should be fine but the fans might have to spin faster and make more noise

when i replaced my two 6950s i went with the 780 because the one card performed better than two lol
 
see if anything from Nvidias bigger maxwell or AMDs new island will give you that

i would rather wait and get better cards
 
7950s are alright but they are getting older now

i then use a 1TB HDD for all of my personal media and a 1TB  840 evo for games and non OS critical programs

It does not go beyond 70 because it thermal throttles. (IIRC the max safe core temp is somewhere between 60-70)

the 5820k is down in price 30$ or so
 
everything else is pretty current

My 780s were $649 when I bought them.

of course. make sure your power supply and motherboard support a secondary card though

Lots of hardware, none of it worth it for a Modmic. Maybe so software, none of which guaranteed to work for you.

That would leave the door open with Skylake mainstream to have 6 cores and 12 HT's for the 6770K
