  1. repost http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/336094-is-this-the-g4-note/
  2. I'm not a fan of the internal layout of this case... it seems a lot of space is wasted....
  3. If you want to know more about the history of banning video consoles in China, I think you guys can reference another article written by the head of Engadget China Richard Lai, "China's complicated history with video games: when a ban isn't really a ban". http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/30/china-console-ban/
  4. I think Sony and Nintendo would have less chance to get the ban lifted because of this regulation. There are reports of Japanese companies slowly moving their plants out of China because of the rise of laboring costs, weak Japanese Yen, and the anti-Japan sentiment lingers. I don't think they will put more investment in China just to get the ban lift. As you said, people could still buy consoles in the gray market.
  5. Even the ban is lifted, I don't think there will be many games available. I believe it would be similar to the movie censorship in China. So games like God of War series ( God & ghosts ,sex), zombies games like l4d, Resident Evil series (zombie and monsters), or even call of duty black ops (mentioned of the Cold War and anti-communists comments) would still be banned. (although you can buy them in the gray market) Maybe in the future, we would have games specifically made for China, just like filmmakers changing storylines to get pass the censorship?
  6. He did unbox one Lian Li case, the pc-q07
  7. Didn't he unbox his tj07? I think you left that one out..
  8. I'm struggling to choose between x79 and z87 too I am still using a c2d notebook, and I want to upgrade to a desktop. The new machine would be use for gaming, mild vm (to learn linux, and to test my softwares) and software development. And If I bought the x79 board with 3930k now, when I upgrade it with a ivy bridge-e cpu later, do I need to reinstall windows again? Thx~
  9. I like this case too. And I wonder, can a eeb motherboard like the asus z9pe-d8 ws be installed in this case, and still able to put two h110 on the top and the front of the case?
  10. I wonder if it is possible to put a eeb/eatx board in it, and still be able to mount radiators on the top and the front fans?
  11. They reviewed a usb 3.0 version of this case...
  12. It would be a good feature for building a vm machine, especially if it is on a dual xeon board.
  13. Silverstone, in computex 2013, reveal a new psu, zm1200, with 80 plus platinum. Expect for the first 80 plus platinum psu silverstone, this psu is the first among silverstone's psu line, to have corsair link-like capability. You can modify fan speed, voltage output, monitoring temperature, or etc. But unlike the others manufacturer which use internal usb header, they decided to use wifi as the bridge between the psu and the computer. http://www.eteknix.com/computex-silverstone-show-zeus-1200w-digital-power-supply/ In the same exhibition, Silverstone reveal an external thunderbolt graphics solution called td04. It's still in the alpha phase of development, but they are aiming for the $200-250 price point without a GPU. (It seems the psu is atx standard, and changeable. With the new thunderbolt chips, do you guys think it would be possible to have an external quad-sli/crossfirex solution??) http://www.anandtech.com/show/7040/computex-2013-thunderbolt-graphics-from-silverstone
