  1. Ah yes, the infamous Asus power surge protection. Got a little story and a problem with it. I'll try to keep it short as I can. It all started about a year and a half ago. You can read the full story here: http://redd.it/7y0361 , but tl;dr is my pc was shutting down after 5-20 min of heavy load. I disassembled it and assembled it again and it started working flawlessly again. Around last new year's eve, the problem happened again. I just disconnected and then reconnected the cables from all components, except for the PSU and it got "fixed" again. Yesterday, it happened again. I was playing Witcher 3 for about 45 min and it just turned off and the goddamn power surge message appeared. Safe to say, I've had enough of this. I would assume it is the PSU, but I don't want to spend my money on the PSU when it could be the motherboard that's faulty or something else. I know that Asus anti-surge is garbage, but I don't want to turn it off until I'm sure that every component in my pc works like it should. Anyways, really need your help with this one. I will provide as much information as I can. Thanks in advance. Also, I'm running CPU at 4.6GHz@1.35V and GPU at 2114MHz@1.093V.
  2. I've thought of that. I'll find something so it doesn't break the PCI slot. Thank you all for your suggestions. Wish me luck!
  3. College semester has ended and I will be bringing my custom water cooled PC with me to my hometown, but I'm a little concerned about possible leakage during the drive home. It'll be a 45 minutes ride and I don't want to drain my loop because I plan to do it in September when I get back. As far as I read on other forums, most people said there is almost no risk of leakage if the PC is seated like it's on a desk, but I just want to get a second opinion from you guys. Here's a list of water cooling components and a picture of my build:
  4. Here we go, guys, the finished loop. No leaks and temps are perfect. It was a rollercoaster of emotions while I was building it, but I had two friends who helped and kept me calm when it was needed lol I can't thank all of you enough for your help!
  5. @seon123 He has the latest HX850 (non i) Platinum version. Is it compatible with that one?
  6. I need a quick help. Long story short, I need a Molex cable for my Corsair RM750x, the problem is I currently don't have it for the reasons that aren't important. TL;DR my friend has a Corsair HX850, will his Molex cable work on my RM750x? Found this https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/psu-cable-compatibility and as far as I can see it's compatible, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance.
  7. Everything is ordered. Thank you all for your help. Wish me luck!
  8. I've put two bottles. It's just not seen in the screenshot. I already have one splitter so I just need another one Is it really beneficial to have a temp sensor?
  9. Okay, guys here is the final cart. Going to be ordering it probably this week, but just wanted again to check with you if everything seems okay.
  10. Just have another question about extenders. If I got it right, they are mostly used between two G1/4 female threads? So basically, in my case, I will need to use only one between the ball valve and the y-splitter? So on the other end of the ball valve I can put a normal fitting and connect a tube for an easier draining, no need for extender? Of course, when I'm not draining, there'll be a cap on the other end of the valve. Also these angled adapters, after I put one in the block, I need to put the normal fitting in the G1/4 female thread, not the extender, right? Sorry for asking so many questions, these fittings are little confusing and since it's my first loop, I don't want anything to go wrong. lol
  11. Alright. Thanks for the tip. I'll go with the nickel one then.
  12. Really? I didn't know that. Would then this one https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-supremacy-evo-nickel be better in your opinion?
  13. Yeah, I thought about that, but just wanted to be sure that I wouldn't regret going with the slim version. I was going to buy two bottles anyway. Also, a quick question with these premixes. Since I'll be only running the blood red premix from EK since my whole build is black and red themed aka won't be changing the fluid color, when I change the fluid, should I clean the loop first with some distilled water and then put the new premix or can I just put the new premix after draining the old one? Like this one? https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-supremacy-evo-full-nickel I've seen that couple of times so I already know that I have to be gentle with it. I'm willing to take the risk because, in my opinion, the one with acrylic top looks so much better. Also thought of another question. For the beginner, is it better to buy two boxes of the tubing or one box will do fine? Since it's flexible tubing, I feel like there's less opportunities to screw up unlike with hardline tubing, but then again, everything is possible.
  14. Thought so, but wanted to ask anyway. I already have six 120mm fans so it's kinda late for that. Also I know I don't need dual 360 for this setup, but I want it to be kinda overkill. lol Esthetic reasons or? Because I kinda like more the cooper base one.
