I'm not poor and can support my hobby, I could give two sh*ts if pirated games disappeared.

good catch. with these builds sometimes i'm working with CAD, USD, pounds or the euro. so I just switch between them and edit according to the budget. sometimes I miss these things.

How about simply not playing the game? Actually make a real effort to send a message instead of saying "I don't like you but I'm going to play your game anyway". You're not doing anything by pirating games other than acting like a selfish child. If I have serious enough problems with a media company that I don't want to support them I don't then turn around and pirate a game, movie, CD, etc that they put out. I actively avoid their products entirely and when asked explain why I've made that choice.

I said logical choice. 290 has most of the performance of a 780ti and costs hundreds less. Same with 290x. Titan LOL that's the most illogical, overpriced GPU for gamers ever made LOL.

I agree, their "new" CPU's didn't make much difference to performance, just pricing.

datnamedough reacted to cpt.show in GTX 760 Dual Monitor Setup
i have pretty much the same set up as you are describing. 2 monitors off of my gtx 760 (Direct CU2). my main (new) monitor is a Benq 2411z (144 hrz) monitor and an older sub 1080p(slightly sub 1080) monitor for random monitoring such as GPU tweak and windows task manager etc. I dont find any problems/performance loss with having 2 monitors vs 1 for gaming or any other applications for that matter. I almost exclusively wear a headset so having fans and whatnot going higher then "normal" isnt a problem for me (in terms of sound) so my GPU temps usually never go above 55 degrees C. I also never get any frame tearing during gameplay (BF4 with most settings at high and some at ultra) but i do notice i dont get a constant "60 fps minimum" that i would like but would prefer it dip in the 35-40 FPS range for better visuals. I also have overclocked my 760 for hopefully a general performance increase, but my idle temps are about 38 degrees. i know this a long replay but hope it helps in any way.

i tried to upload a screenshot of my GPU overclock stuff but it keeps saying error 5005 i believe..im new to this site and am probably a noob and dont know what to do lol. but here they are in txt format

    GPU boost clock 1111 Mhz

Min voltage 900 mV   Max voltage 1.202 mV

    Memory clock 6102 Mhz

    Power target 100%
GPU max temp 80 deg C

i have overclocked it all the way up to 1200 Mhz on the boost clock but got some instability with that high.

out of those two i'd pick the 6300 hands down, 2 cores are simply not cutting it for many modern games no matter the clockspeed.
The FX-6300 is still a superior CPU IMHO.
Unless you play a lot of oldies and MMO's and RTS and indie games, get the FX...or if you plan an upgrade to a good intel CPU within a year from now (i5-4690K or i7-4790K..)

R9 290 > GTX 780 in a lot of scenario's so the R9 290x will stomp on the GTX 780. However if you want cooler/lower power draw go GTX 780 (Also for things like PhysX if you're into that). However if you want more bang for your buck then go R9 290 (Sapphire Tri-x, vapor-x or Powercolor PCS+)

It's a good PSU. I would suggest getting a good aircooler like the 212 Hyper EVO or U14S instead. Also the 4GB x 2 version of the RAM to run it in dual channel mode. Also, that's a huge case for your components. You could go mid-tower and much cheaper or still full-tower and much cheaper. However, it's your build, your money.
