  1. Hey all, I have just started with OPNsense, but I've ran into the issue that proxmox (10.0.77.20)(hosting OPNsense) can't communicate, well kinda. "ping 10.0.77.20" works fine. but when I try and go to proxmox's web interface it doesnt work (10.0.77.20:8006), and the response is being blocked by OPNsense firewall. (10.0.77.20 => 10.0.77.83). interresting I dont see any traffic from 'mylaptop => proxmox', only blocked traffic from 'proxmox => mylaptop'. I think 'mylaptop => proxmox' is being routed straight through the switch while 'proxmox => mylaptop' is being routed through OPNsense. If I hookup my old edgerouter lite everything works fine. OPNsense firewall logs OPNsense firewall rules, the top one "Default deny / state violation rule" is the one blocking traffic Proxmox network settings
  2. I have just sent a support ticket to asus so hopefully I can get it sorted.

  4. hello, I have a asus x470-f with a 2x8GB G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 3000mhz kit. my pc will only boot with one stick of ram. I have tried both sticks separately so I don't think I have a bad stick. I have tried each slot so i don't think I have a bad motherboard. I have tried all combinations of the two sticks (and have read my motherboard manual). I have tried updating my bios. I have tried clearing the CMOS. I am fresh out of ideas. any ideas?
  5. my parents have two houses about 750m apart and we want to share a internet connection between them, I was thinking using a point to point wifi link. problem is there are suburban properties between the two houses and the two links will not be line of sight, there are no hills in the way (one house is about 20m higher than the other) I am thinking about using two to these (Ubiquiti LiteBeam ac LBE-5AC-23) on each end, since they are 30+ km range I hope that will overcome any problems not being line of sight. will this work? and are there better ways? also could it be possible to mount them inside the roof space?
  6. badass looking projector, you would be the life of the party with this.
  7. my mouse costs $5 from china... yea it sucks
  8. not 100% true 8Gb is only for zfs raid, on my old nas it could max out a gigabit network on 1 gb of ram and a crap cpu
