  1. Update on this. I wiped and reloaded the os and the issue is gone, not a single sound from the psu and performance is back to normal.
  2. I thought bequiet are a reliable brand. What are the odds of a psu being faulty out of the factory.
  3. Seemingly out of the blue my PSU started clicking when I launched Overwatch and now my performance is tanking and jittery. I'm using a bequiet straight power 11 650w power supply and amd rx 5700xt. I've restored everything in Radeon software to default. Performance is also weird in rocket league. For some reason when I run 3dmark or GTA v it runs fine. I've tried changing around the power cables,I've reseated the GPU, I've reset the bios. I'm not sure what else I can try. Would really appreciate some help on this as it's my first system I've put together and I have had it for less than a week.
  4. I might be overlooking something but would this in theory be possible? Does anyone know if this has been done before? I tried looking around but couldn't find anything. Clearly this would be a very custom cable but there doesn't seem to be much online. Just think it could look really neat in some builds.
  5. I've encountered the first link but I'm hoping I don't have to spend that much money on the bracket. It looks to be the exact one I need.
  6. So I'm trying to fix my bracket for my 4 year old Asus g750jz, I would order a replacement but it can't be found anywhere in stock (went far beyond 2nd page of Google searching). My question is would anyone have any suggestions on how to put it together so it still functions and doesn't fall apart, or alternative solutions?
  7. Hello everyone, I;m a first time poster here at LTT. I am currently in the middle of researching my parts for my first build and I have narrowed my CPU choice to either an i7 6800k or i7 7700k (might go to red team if it's worth it). I've seen many videos online showing either one of them in favour but I can't decide what to go with. I plan to have a GTX 1080 Ti Strix and 32GB of RAM and an m.2 drive in the system. The machine will be used a lot for gaming and as a workstation (e.g. using photoshop etc.) Cost isn't of the most relevance, I want to make sure that whatever I get lasts me for the longest time even as I upgrade GPUs over the years. Sorry if I left out any other relevant information. Thank you for your help in advance.
  8. I would use it to in my video editing station which is lacking a bit of power, would be awesome to have the 5820K running on it
  9. I first found out about Linus Tech tips around 2/3 years ago, when I was looking for tips on buying parts for my first good computer, I really liked the unboxings and reviews so I decided to subscribe and see how the channel will go. And now I'm really glad that I stayed subscribed to the channel, I've learned a lot about computers from the channel. To this day I first go to linus tech tips when I'm looking for reviews and opinions on pc tech, for example, I was looking to buy Asus ROG G750JZ and the first thing I did is I went to youtube and searched "asus rog g750jz unboxing linus" I know that I can always rely on Linus' opinion, and other members' of the team too. And now I'm writing from that very laptop. Thank you guys at Linus Tech Tips for providing a great service, ye're defiantly someone I would recommend to my friend. Keep up the good work
  10. I also like the fact that the finally improved the screen on Z2 over Z1, and I love the fact that dbrand provided a phone for a giveaway
