Fab, Thats really good to know. I'll look into it

Thanks for the heads up, just looked it up and they will flash the BIOS for £12. I assume that the only chipset with native support for the Ryzen 3000 serires is the x570?
-
Hi all, Im going to build a PC for a friend and I was looking at the Ryzen 3 3200G. Its just a home office computer, nothing fancy. I have been out of the loop for a little while and i've lost track of what the chipset compatability is with this gen of Ryzen processors, what do I want? I know that you can do most chipsets but they require a BIOS update so I want to know wich chipsets wouldnt as I dont have a surrogate CPU to do the update with. Thanks!

is that a huge deal, I mean I'm a little worried about weight killing the card but am i just worried over nothing?
-
I've just been paid and I'm itching to buy a new GPU as my GTX 760 is showing its age on my 2560:1080 display and I've found some nice deals on some 1060s (6GB) but I'm stuck between buying the Msi Armour OC and the Palit Superjetstream . Both are the same price but the Palit has a bigger cooler but I'm worried about clearance and potential sag as it is so huge (I'm using a corsair 380T, I'm pretty sure it would fit) but the MSI has a 3-year warranty instead of a 2 year one from Palit. What would you guys do?

Ive got a gtx 760 ATM wich if ok but a new gpu would be great to power my 2580x1080 lg ultrawide!

They aren't doing day by day sales anymore I don't think due to the refund policy but ill keep my fingers crossed!
-
Too right! The thing is i'm not sure if this is me just getting used to the sales or them getting worse. I can't help thinking that the refund policy has negitivly impacted sales prices as they aren't just around for 2 days
-
I see what you mean but there are always new games coming out so you will always have games 'getting old' so I'm not sure you can say that the cheap games are running out. I'm looking at mad max for £35 right now just scratching my head.
-
I don't know if this is just me expecting more after being on pc for a long time but are the steam sales getting worse? I'm looking down my wishlist and there is nothing of much note that is more than 50% off, I seem to remember 80% discounts being thrown around like it was nothing and I could set myself a £30 budget and get some real kickers of games. I gotta get a second opinion on this as it may be me being super salty about tomb raider being only 35% off.

I was literally going to do exactly the same, i just hope that when AMD brings some stuff out nvidia will have to drop their prices for competition
-
Have you guys seen the pricing on overclockers.co.uk, its a little more reasonable than scan. (despite still being silly expensive for a second tier card)
-
gpu AMD Radeon R9 380 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
SMEXYBeach replied to N4vySc4n's topic in Graphics Cards
If you're looking to buy one or the other then I would really wait for a few weeks for the new pascal GPUs as they will be better and cheaper, or at least drive down the price of older ones on ebay as people try to sell their old stuff -
120gb dosent quite cut it anymore but really everyone needs atleast some kind of ssd for a kinda of a good boot time
-
I would want to get my bro a new pair of sennheiser momentum over ears as he would never wear any non-stylish headphones but he needs to listen to music the way it was meant to be heard! The link is: http://amzn.to/1LQT8cg Thanks for the give away and good luck whoever wins!
