Tageicus reacted to incarnate in Gtx 970 msi or evga?
i'd say evga, their warranty and customer service are the best in the business. the SSC has a great cooler and awesome factory overclock. but ya, that warranty and customer service is something that will be REALLY nice to have if you end up having issues with your graphics card. MSI's customer service is email based. EVGA has a phone number that you can call to talk to someone live.

Tageicus got a reaction from incarnate in Gtx 970 msi or evga?
i wouldnt agree with that, the standard evga cards are still viable, plus evga is a very generous company in terms of regulations and warranties

buy an r9 280x, its roughly the same price and you get an extra gigabyte and better performance/dollar

Tageicus reacted to JebKerman in I5 4670k good for the witcher 3 on high/ultra at 60fps?
I doubt you'd have an issue, but it really depends on the GPU, (unless you're using integrated graphics then, no)

Tageicus reacted to Tedster in I5 4670k good for the witcher 3 on high/ultra at 60fps?
Yes, the 4670k will be fine. The 4690k will perform slightly better at stock and will run cooler.
However, it's mainly the GPU you should care about.

an i5 4670k is perfectly acceptable, maybe get a $100 dual rad and overclock a bunch, then get a high end 970 or a 980
