  1. I would highly recommend the Xbox 360 controller, I've been using it for a while and it's well made and just overall a good controller...but the main reason why I recommend it is purely for compatibility as windows will recognise it immediately as you plug it in, and also most games will recognise it too... Many games (and especially most console ports) directly support it, making it really easy to get up and running without messing about with re-mapping controls or anything like that. I haven't tried the xbox one controller, but if it's anything like the 360 it's probably great too.
  2. To be honest I don't see why it's necessary... I don't think there's anything wrong with the idea of naming a company after the creator or founder, just look at other names like Anandtech, Disney, Ford or any company named after it's founder, it's quite common to do this and I don't see anything wrong with that. On the other hand, name changes or rebrands can have positive effects in some cases, and many companies have done this, some have even changed names multiple times throughout their history, not always has this practise been successful though, it really depends and it's sometimes difficult to tell if a change like that will be widely accepted or not. Overall it's up the them to decide what they want to do with their brand name and image.
  3. I thought titan x doesn't have double precision in the same way old titan did.
  4. I think you should consider what types of games are you playing and if they benefit from SLI or not, and also think about how much vram you're going to use... I'd normally say 970 SLI is the best value price to performance wise, but that won't necessary be the best option for everyone, it depends what kind of set up you're running and what games you play etc...
  5. If you have any spare molex connectors that you're not using... you can choose to adapt them and get two or more sata power connectors out of a single molex quite easily and cheaply.
  6. ahh alright... I thought samsung ditched the camera in gear S onwards. either way I wouldn't expect much from a smartwatch camera.
  7. Imo, you shouldn't really be looking at smart watches based on whether they have a good camera or not... most don't even have one, the only I can think of that does is the original samsung galaxy gear.
  8. unfortunately posting in off-topic won't help you reach your 'goal'.
  9. Awww.... It's a shame your topic has been removed. I thought it was hilarious.
  10. I guess that will depend on the use case. If you were to use it as boot drive for your operating system doing lots of small random I/O operations, as well as lots of frequent repetitive reads then I'm pretty sure the SSHD will be better as it's caching algorithms will learn and improve the access time and read speed for data you use more often. For a storage drive where I assume it will be significantly less busy, and provided that a lot of the data access is sequential I would assume the performance gap between a standard HDD and an SSHD isn't as large as it would be for a boot drive. So I'm just wondering if it's worth it? I would probably stick with regular HDDs for pure storage drives.
  11. I would go for the WD Blue... but any of those drives will be good choices. The segate SSHD has more performance potential with it's caching technology, but if you are just using as a storage drive I don't know how much of a benefit it will be and wheather the extra cost is worth it, that's up to you I guess.

  13. It's definitely possible, but most of the time it's not worth doing, there's no real advantages of running multiple PSUs. You're almost always better off with a single more powerful PSU.
  14. The most popular mod for watch_dogs is probably theworsemod, which supposedly improves graphics and performance. You can also get texture packs to improve the visuals even more. http://theworsemod.blogspot.co.uk/ http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/watch-dogs-theworse-mod-8-download.html
  15. coil whine seems to be pretty random, i think it can depend on so many factors which is why everyone seems to have a different expierence with it.
  16. Do we know how much the Titan X is going to be? or are we just assuming it will be the same price as the other Titans at launch? Just wondering.
  17. It stands for extreme memory profile... you can find out a little bit more by watching this video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc8G5_sW8lk
  18. Hi there, 1. A lot of people choose to only fill one bank of memory (enough to take advantage of all the memory channels) most likely to save money and/or to leave room for upgrades in the future. Very few people feel the need to completely max out their RAM. 2. All systems will default to fail safe settings for memory, that's normal. You can manually set clock speeds and timings for memory in the BIOS or you could just use a XMP profile. 3. You can overclock your memory in the BIOS... benefits are faster memory, more bandwidth, lower latency, etc.... If you overclock your RAM successfully the drawbacks are little to none... you might end up using a little more power and producing a little more heat, other than that I don't see any drawbacks. If you push your overclock too far your system may become unstable and that could cause crashes, BSOD and stuff like that.
  19. There is no difference as far as image quallity is concerned. I'm not sure about latency, I would assume that depends on your monitor.
  20. Yes, it's also one of the most powerful CPUs you can buy. Don't worry about it, you will be fine with what ever GPU you throw at it.
  21. I believe the nexus 10 also has front facing speakers.
  22. you could also try removing the cooler and metal heatsinks, with just the pcb it should be easier to bend now.
  23. That sounds pretty good performance wise, just as long as you realise the risks involved with raid 0. You might want to think about running backups if you're planning on storing any important data on the array. Raid 10 would be a safer, but at the end of the day it's really up to you and if you are willing to sacrifise redundancy for performance or not.
