  1. Why wouldn't you get the BenQ one anyways? It has some features the Asus one doesn't. And for around the same price you might be able to snag a used gsync version or something.

  3. Windows has okay native support for it, but using a program like DS4 gives waaaaaaaaaaay more customizability.
  4. Would disabling g-sync on the OSD of my Acer XB270HU or in the Nvidia game profile for CSGO reduce the lag in the same way?
  5. Do it. I got this BT adapter for my desktop and everything works perfect on the PS4 controller. Even the touchpad and pressure sensitive triggers!
  6. Well damn... I would probably say save it for pascal/cpu upgrade (same socket) or go for one of those 2150MBps read speed m.2 or pcie ssd's!
  7. Well same, but I am going to use mine to get one 980 Ti G1. You bastard, you already have one Maybe something like the Acer XB270HU? I got mine and looooooooove it. One dead pixel in the lower right does not affect me.
  8. Did you try the drivers from the Asus product page yet? It sounds like your 860m and igpu are having trouble switching back and forth. I would try the windows 8.1 Intel and Nvidia VGA drivers from your laptops driver download page. If those fix the problem, try updating the Nvidia driver again from Nvidia's website to get more performance.

  10. Honestly I just need to start cataloging the songs/artists I like onto a 128GB or 200GB micro sd card.
  11. This would literally be perfect to replace my aging ps3 in the living room for all kinds of entertainment!
  12. I got my 120GB (111 after format) for $55 a year ago and it has not had any errors/problems. Still got 500MBps reads 70% full!
  13. Yea I can help a lot with this kind of stuff
  14. Never update notebook gpu drivers please. Use DDU and reinstall the specific drivers from your laptop manufactures website for the Intel and AMD graphics. Is your cpu throttling? Specific manufactures can make a standard cpu throttle at any temperature they deem necessary. Using a program like Throttle Stop and unchecking the BD PROCHOT should allow your i5 4200U to run its full turbo speeds until hitting your manufacture defined thermal limit.
  15. Well if you are concerned about problems with your monitor, only get the PG278Q then. Every other similarly specked monitor, including the PG279Q, is a lottery if you get a good one or broken one.
  16. If you don't care for the 165hz, like me, you should be able to snag an Acer XB270HU for around $500. I did and damn was it a good investment. Of course the Acer has a degraded build quality, but it's all about dat screen baby.
  17. I got a blue screen with some kind of video card error message and after multiple reboot attempts, nothing happened anymore. Before that I was having weird overclocking problems where it would run at 600Mhz if I even touched any settings. The UPS box did have a few puncture holes in it lmao. I will fly eventually!
  18. I loaded into my hanger with my new 325a for the first time and my 980 Ti died :'( Back to newegg for a replacement...
  19. True, but the only other monitor with specs like OP wants is $500+ and has a 90fps freesync cap anyways!
  20. Overclockable through display port?
  21. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824022308 Edit: You can most likely overclock this monitor to 80hz+, but if you "need" that 144hz, the only monitor that fast, ips, and freesync, is the MG279Q. Freesync only works up to 90 fps though and will not allow the refresh rate to go above that without disabling freesync altogether.
  22. Well with my hp laptop, I downloaded a dell windows 8 OEM iso and it recognized the key that was already on my laptop's bios. It activated after one restart... I had to find this "OEM" version because I tried a regular (both 64bit iso's) windows 8 iso and it said my laptop's bios key could not be used with this version of windows. So obviously that is not the case. Try it for yourself if you don't believe me
  23. I meant the actual game and yep! Bought my 325a baby!
