  1. Can't find the stock cooler. But, I took off the thermalpaste because there was way to much on, and applied only a little. Still had a high temp. Got as high as 89C.
  2. Okay so it is defiantly a cooling issue. The program I used told me the wrong temps. I'm using the asrock cpu utility now and when I turn on the PC it is at 60C already. On IDLE, it keeps going up till the PC reaches 85C and then it lags and freezes, which leads it to turn off. Any Ideas?
  3. The temps were checked the whole time it was on. I put new thermal paste on yesterday, but now that I think about it, Could it be that I forgot to rub off some of the old thermal paste on the CPU Cooler, I only rubbed it off on the CPU.
  4. So yesterday I decided to do some cable management inside of my PC. Where then I forgot to turn on the CPU Cooler. I booted it once till I realized that it wasn't turned on. Now, I turn on my PC and it works fine for a few minutes. Then, It starts lagging A LOT and eventually freezes and shuts off. I checked my CPU temps and they were fine (30C). This is the part that I don't understand. I have rainmeter installed and with rainmeter I have a CPU usage icon. On there, when it got laggy, it said anywhere from 50%-100%. BUT, on the task manager it says anywhere from 0%-5%. These are my specs: CPU: i7 3770k GPU: 660Ti RAM: 16GB Vengeance MOTHERBOARD: ASROCK z77 PRO4 HDD: 2TB Seagate 7500RPM and 120GB 840 SSD Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Anyone know? I've been searching it up and I can't find anything.
  6. Okay so it only freezes when my 660ti Is in the PC. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall but it still crashes with the card in. The card is only a few months old and was working right before I did the cable management.
  7. It stays at 30C till it crashes.. Btw, I think I have made some progress.... So, I took off the h100 to see if there was any damage. It looks like the thermalpaste just got burned off, So I put more on. Then it still crashed so I took out the battery and the graphics card. Now the battery is in and I'm running off of integrated graphics and so far, no problems. So I'm gonna try to add the card back, and If it doesn't work. I might switch to my old 6950.
  8. Thought it was that, but I checked and my CPU was at 30C at startup and so was my GPU.
  9. So I just left my PC on idle and it turned off after about 10 minutes.
  10. So, I decided to do some cable management in my PC. The first time I turned it on after the management I forgot to put the CPU Cooler into the motherboard. It was only on for a few seconds seconds until I realized it wasn't plugged in, so I don't think it ruined my CPU. Then, I plugged it in, and turned on my PC. Now, it boots into windows and about 5 minutes after it being on, it freezes and turns off. I tried every solution I could think of. Any idea as to why this is happening?
  11. Defiantly stick with the 660ti. I had mine for a few months and its amazing. If you could spend a bit more money at some point I would get a better processor. But if you can't, that would be fine.
  12. I use to have the 6950 2gb, now I have the EVGA 660Ti FTW Edition!
  13. I watch a streamer that use to use a Black widow, He switched to the G710+ and he said it was really good.
