Big update - I had purchased with debit so purchase protection isn't a thing. Decided to try the cleaning approach and managed to clean most of the mineral deposits off top of socket as well as the rust around the m.2 slot and deposits around small caps and resistors.I couldn't clean off all the mineral deposits on the pcb itself so the board doesn't look the cleanest, but by miracle I did get it to boot and have had it running it for about an hour with no issues

Thanks for the replies everyone. Before I clean and test anything I'm going to try and see if I can make a purchase security damage claim through my visa. It's been less than 90 days since I purchased the board, and I cant seem to find anything in the coverage terms that excludes my case, but we'll see. -
I had taken my motherboard out of my pc and the 5600x out of the socket so that I could test my brothers new parts when going home for the holidays. I placed the motherboard on a shelf so that my roommates cat couldn't step on it and upon returning found that a crack in the ceiling had been dripping water slowly but steadily on the motherboard. Seeing as there are mineral deposits in the socket itself, as well as some rusting around other parts of the board, what do y'all think are my chances I can clean it and get it working?

I myself already have a 970 that will keep me satisfied for a few more years, but I'm in the process of building a computer for my brother and knocking the GPU out of the cost would make a huge impact.He's taking the plunge and going for an ultra wide productivity/moderate gaming build. Hey everyone, I am debating if I should get the OnePlus X as my next phone, but i'm stumped with which connectivity options I will have in Canada. I am already with Wind mobile, and am wondering what kind of connectivity I will get. http://www.willmyphonework.net/ willmyphonework.net says that I will only be able use winds 3G bands, however I did some research that makes me think otherwise. Winds network uses AWS(1700/2100) which appears to be just another way to say FDD LTE band 4. http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Network_Compatibility_of_common_phones The OnePlus site says that the X does support FDD LTE band 4, which should mean that it would work on the LTE band. https://oneplus.net/x/specs I've searched around and people can't seem to give agree on an answer, but I assume there is someone here with a wider knowledge of network types will be able to help out. Thanks

I just built a new setup centered around a 4690k.If I won, I would either sell it to lighten the blow to my bank account after the PC purchase, or see if I can give it to my brother for his video editing PC.Thanks for the giveaway guys!

I used to see zotac as the cheap, bad quality graphics card manufacturer, but what I like about these new cards is that they look amazing, and perform extremely well. Thanks for the giveaway zotac!

Hey guys, do any of you know how to make it so that I don't have to unplug and plug back in my corsair m60 every time I start my computer? It has been like this since I got it, and I remember reading about this problem before, but I can't find anything on it.Any ideas, or is it just something that I will have to live with? Thanks
