  1. Nope, those are the pins needed for the VGA signal. The D is DVI-D stands for digital, so you can't use an analog cable for that.
  2. Here in Europe, we've already been using Chip and Pin for over 10 years now. America is really slow to adopt as usual.

    Switches

I would recommend getting a setup like this: It will be the cheapest as 16-port switches can be costly compared to 5 and 8-port switches.

You'll need a 9-port switch. But those do not exist, if you want more than 8 ports, you'll have to get a 16-port switch or get an 8-port and a 5-port switch and link them together.

  10. Having 2 GPU's will help (for applications that support it), but not in SLI. Just use them as stand-alone GPUs.
  11. Try to change back to 8.1. The technical preview is not meant to be used as a day-to-day OS yet and you will often encounter problems like this.
  12. If the price difference is that big, it might indeed be better to go with Blue drives.
  13. You can use Blue drives, but I would still recommend getting Red drives if possible.
  14. A server case for that money? Good luck, most of them start at around $100 for a simple one and $400-500 for one with hot-swaps. Also, don't put it in a closet, computers need fresh air!
  15. If your SLI bridge is missing, it will say:
  16. If you have UPnP enabled, disable it. You might also just add a rule to your firewall to disallow any outside traffic to the IP of the camera system.
  17. Why not just run a cable if it is only 18ft?
  18. You can use this program for free from VMware: http://www.vmware.com/be/nl/products/converter/ After that you can just run it in VMware Player (Also free).
  19. Viruses and malware often scan the network and look for vulnerable systems to infect, there are ways to monitor this kind of behavior and block it out (the way they did here).
