  1. Thought i should update y'all So, almost a week later I figured out everything about his pc Its an acer aspire m3970 Intel core i5 2320 3ghz cpu 8 Gb ram GT 530 gpu 240watt psu some mATX motherboard and a 2tb hdd After some measuring and discussing he decided to get a 1060 with a new psu I'm still trying to convince him to ad an sdd but only if his budget allows it. Will add final update later.
  2. managed to get it working for some reason it doesn't work with all usb sound adapters. But i can confirm it works with the creative sound blaster play 2. it ain't stupid if it works
  3. yes, upgrading is also something I thought about when I looked at a 1060 and with a hight wattage psu he wouldn't need to buy those again when fully upgrading his pc. I do think that a 1060 with a psu would be the best solution at this time
  4. isn't 600 watt a bit overkill? although 600 watt for that price is actually a good deal
  5. It's pretty much the dutch pcpartpicker psu's: https://tweakers.net/categorie/664/voedingen/producten/ gpu's: https://tweakers.net/categorie/49/videokaarten/producten/
  6. SO a 1060 + a new psu should the best solution. Something like the corsair CX450m would be able to do the trick.
  7. He has a Acer Aspire M397, can't find anything about the psu though
  8. I don't know what psu he has, we still have to figure that out. Not that a new psu is that expensive the GT530 is a pcie 2.0 card so his motherboard has a chance of being a pcie 2.0 board he has 8gb ram
  9. A friend of mine has a pre-build system with an i5 2320 and a GT530 and he wants to play gta5 with my other friends and me. His system is obviously not able to run gta comfortably so I'm thinking of upgrading his GT530 to either a 1050Ti or a 1060 (And psu if necessary) I'm just not really sure which of the two cards is better.
  10. The default cables of the 750x are AWFUL. I got it as replacement because my rm750 blew up, because reasons. The 24pin is just one big bulk of cables. It's a nightmare to work with being a cablemanagement whore because it takes up pretty much all available space behind the motherboard tray. http://www.corsair.com/en/~/media/A061E14188EA47298471465FED25DE20.ashx If you have the money I would strongly recommend getting a cablemod c-series kit or corsair's own sleeved cables. Or get the rm750, that one has flat black cables.
  11. Do you have a picture of the finished product? I'm planning the same thing and I'm really curious how it looks
  12. any bluetooth receivers that you guys can recommend? I have one laying around, but the quality is just awful. But why doesn't the one m7 support audio via usb?
  13. So the headphone jack on my htc one m7 has given up the ghost. I tried using one of those usb-to-3.5mm things to still be able to listen to music because that's pretty much the only thing i use a phone for on a day to day basis, which should work on the one m7 but it doesn't work besides saying that the phone is in usb hostmode when i plug it in. Any tips?
  14. 3 months ago I noticed that when I connect my power brick to the laptop a small whining noise could be heard around the place where the connector plugs in, although it was only noticeable when I put my ear right next to the laptop. But over the course of the last few weeks it's becoming more noticeable, even when the battery is completely charged, to the point that classmates sitting next to me can hear it. Because dell's website is so 'easy' to navigate I come here for help. What should I do?
