So the Ebay seller for that 240Hz monitor decided to refund me since I was the only bidder and 210-ish was too low for his liking :/

The problems with Ebay. Sellers don't win sales issues, buyers don't win auctions, and an item's average pricing tanks as a result.

Personally I feel like you shouldn't be able to refund somebody because you didn't get as much money as you wanted from them. I think that's super fucking dumb. I realize "right to refuse service to anyone" can apply but it's not like I countered his offer for like 30 dollars or some shit, I ponied up right then and there.

I only use eBay for Buy it now.

I never start an auction below what I would like to get as a minimum. These days, I've only been doing BIN. Was there a reserve on the item?

On the other hand my buddies RX 580 sold for $450 and he paid $260. The 1070Ti he bought was just paid off lmao

It's the dumbass's own fault for not setting a reserve. Kinda retarded to refund someone because you're being a greedy cunt and somehow didn't think people would lowball you without a reserve.

    Rest in pieces :/

This has happened to me before and boy is it annoying...

On a side note, yay! I'm happy to see that spending £20 less only meant that I get 0.025GHz lower clocks at basically the same voltage (1.36 vs 1.368). Granted this is only a sample size of 1 each but still...

@DrMacintosh Bidding is too stressful for me.  I just treat ebay as a shop.

@STRMfrmXMN I thought sellers had to accept the bid, no matter the price? (I dunno completely, just read some book on ebay like 5 years ago lol).

@bob51zhang You can contest it, but unfortunately it's the owner's decision and not the purchaser's.

No, no reserve on the item.

I love bidding at the last minute like a dick but I had a bid on this for like 30 minutes and nobody bid on it but me, so like this guy kinda ruined my day since I was pretty excited about getting a 240Hz for cheap.

Ebay sellers can cancel for any reason. I cancelled selling my broken 4670K on Ebay because Paypal was being a pain in the ass with my account. That's the one I ended up sending in to AwesomeHardware that they opened on stream :D

But yeah, it had no reserve so it feels like a huge slap in the face.
