  1. I would like to have an in home NAS and Minecraft server, but I am afraid that the equipment is too old and it wont handle it.
  2. My company is tossing there old 19in server cabinet, 3 servers, and 2 Apc rack mount UPS's. The UPS's may need new batteries and the servers will need new hard drives ontop of that the I dont have any of the login info for the servers and they would have to be reformatted. is any of this stuff worth keeping? The Servers are an HP Proliant DL380p Gen 8 with all the hard drive sleds https://www.ebay.com/itm/285090600255?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rcGIeBbpQFa&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=Lk88gXgESr2&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY the second server is a dell PowerEdge 2950 the third is a dell power edge r410
  3. This is my fear especially the thought of trying to RMA parts. Also not knowing weather its the MoBo or CPU is a pain in the ass as well because I will have to buy another cpu to test this theory and being custom water cooled it is a pain to swap cpu's. Also when I cleaned the computer out I re-installed the CPU with new thermal paste and everything and there were no bent pins.
  4. I am at the point that If I'm going to do that I will likely just take the MoBo and CPU out and toss them and buy new. The computer is Custom Watercooled so doing something simple like swapping the CPU is an hour long task. Also in 15 year of working on computer I have never had a bad intel CPU though this is a decent Idea.
  5. I have been having issue with a blue screen error That reads Unexpected_Kernal_Mode_Trap, So have spent the better part of a month trying different solutions to fix the Issue. I have done a bios update did not fix the issue installed new and old drivers for all components did not fix the issue ran hardware checks on my CPU,GPU, RAM, and drives no faults Replaced my ram and also tested it in different slots no fauts Freshly installed Windows 10 did not fix the issue Freshly installed Windows 11 did not fix the issue After draining the entire custom loop taking everything out cleaning the system that has been running fine since Aug 2021 and putting it back together I noticed something. Every randomly I noticed that the red cpu LED will come on for a split second then turn off and also there in my Corsair ique software it reads that one of the test points on the motherboard is at 127c. I am not sure if its a bug with the software or there is an actual issue with it. The computer still works fine playing games, watching youtube, watching twitch, but as soon as I try to watch a movie or something on Nexflix, Amazon prime video or Disney+ it crashes and it does this in any browser. Corsair 5000X case, MSI RTX3080ti GPU, Asus Z590A MoBo, 10900KF CPU, 32GB corsair vengeance RGB 3600mhz DDR4, 2x Samsung 1tb NVME SSD's, 850W EVGA B5 PSU. Custom watercooled.
  6. upgraded to window 11 still no luck. Its Sunday so I think I am going to have my local pastor come over to see if it may be Demons.
  7. Failed again Picked up a set of ram online and I am going to try a test with that when I get home. Also I will upgrade to windows 11 with a fresh install just to see if that works. The issue only seems to happen when I’m in a online media player like Amazon prime video, Twitch and even my Test out school program all online. I have tried mem test, Ada 64, and have been playing wow on it plus I ran future mark. In all those instances the computer never crashes.
  8. It can, but the fans are tested to operate at much lower temps and should actually work better in cooler temperatures. To me it sounds like there's dust or foreign debris in the barring. You may try poping off the fan blade and seeing if there is something lodged in inner portion of the fan.
  9. Sorry, new to that program I ended up reinstalling windows again but this time via usb unplugged everything except a standard keyboard and mouse and just did the basic updates needed by windows and everything looks to be working. I have not had much time to test the issue. I have a sneaky feeling it has something to do with my Logitech G733 headset though or a sound driver issue.
  10. I set everything back to factory defaults but I will check again to ensure nothing is being overclocked. Thanks for the info
  11. Sorry hit enter by accident before I had time to explain myself
  12. I keep getting an Unexpected_Kernel_Mode_Trap What I have tried to fix it I have completely reinstalled windows updated all drivers tried different drivers on both windows and Nvidia tested my ram and tested to see if it was a bad stick updated the bios though it still shows as a 2021 bios kinda odd Tested both the gpu and CPU for stress various browsers and so far nothing has worked This error usually happens when I am watching content online like Amazon Prime video The computer seems to run completely fine in games and other content which makes me scratch my head about the issue. System 1 year old pc has had no issues till now 3080ti watercooled 10900Kf Watercooled 32gb Corsair ddr4 850W psu Asus ROG Strix Z590-A
  13. This is kind of a loaded question with out having actual numbers, brands, styles and info for any 40 series cards.
  14. Less then 300 since you can buy several for that price on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/265577356229?epid=19025112561&hash=item3dd5a4dbc5:g:dFcAAOSwtJtiHui5, https://www.ebay.com/itm/384752322868?hash=item5995068934:g:cnMAAOSwZzJiDpmG

    yo

You should look into something like C or C sharp
  16. You should be able to RMA the card through Gigabyte, but they do have a bad track record of customer support. I would just return it and get your money back before its too late. I know it sucks but its better then being down a bunch of money.
  17. Just buy a portable hard drive enclose and add your own drive https://www.amazon.com/Reletech-Enclosure-External-Function-Compatible/dp/B08ZN7JXMF/ref=sr_1_2?crid=15UR7ZDSKZQBI&keywords=2.5+incloser+usb+type+c&qid=1646229464&sprefix=2.5+incloser+usb+type+c%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-2 That way if you want to upgrade or use an SSD you can. Also you can swap drives if one becomes full. Also another benefit is you can pick what ever drive you want to use vs going with what ever eco drive WD or Toshiba put in. They even have ones for NVME drives https://www.amazon.com/SSK-Aluminum-Enclosure-Adapter-External/dp/B07MNFH1PX/ref=sr_1_8?crid=15UR7ZDSKZQBI&keywords=2.5+incloser+usb+type+c&qid=1646229632&sprefix=2.5+incloser+usb+type+c%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-8
  18. That's fine as long as you don't have more then 4-5. here's a break down of how much power your system will use GTX780 340Watts, CPU 65Watts, Ram 6Watts, HDD's 3Watts, motherboard 40watts and each fan is about 3 watts with RGB. So with 5 fans and everything listed you are running about 469 watts of power. Most power supply's say there wattage but there actual wattage can fluctuate based on input power, how efficient the PSU is and how clean the power coming in is. So if its a cheaper or older PSU you may only get 420-450Watts so you are right at the limit of a 550Watt psu but it should still work just fine.
  19. You should be good as long as its a decent 80+ PSU and you dont have 30 fans and led's attached to it.
  20. Are you sure its your network card and not your router? I had a similar Issue to this with my router were it would drop out daily, so I purchased a new one and put all my network gear on a UPS and have not lost internet connection ever since. Also if you think its you network card you can always buy a USB dongle and connect that way they are very cheap and that will help you diagnose your issues.
  21. If it were me I would leave 2 intakes in the front and the rest exhaust. If you are still having temp issues or dust issues I would recommend removing the drive cages or getting a new case with better airflow.
  22. Desk and PC look great! That chair though makes my back hurt looking at it.
