  1. With that beget you could do better.
  2. I mean this seems fairly balanced as long as you can find the GPU
  3. What type of 3080ti do you have? Some models take 3x 8 pin and some take the new 12 pin design. Also I would not recommend using a single 8 pin with the splitter to power a 3080ti
  4. Start with changing the thermal paste on the Processor it self. once you pull the card apart if the thermal pads are no longer malleable and all dried out then replace them. Thermal pads take along time to break down to were they dont dissipate heat anymore. Just get some decent thermal paste and try that first. Also the thermal pads will squish quit a bit as long as you dont get them too thick it wont make much of a difference. .5 of a mm is like the thickness of construction paper or a standard envelope so it would be fine to use if not better because it would squish a bit.
  5. Well with the GPU market still crawling back to life I would start with a new CPU and Motherboard then go for GPU and storage
  6. you can play minecraft on a potato and there is several different versions of it. I recomend with no budget you buy the creeper one from Puidiepie I bet he would sell it if the price was right.
  7. well you can cut them to size and just about any will do because the squish down to size but something like this will work https://www.amazon.com/AI-AIKENUO-100x100x1-5mm-Insulated-Temperature/dp/B091KSRZDS/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=ek+waterblocks+thermal+pads&qid=1628619413&sr=8-12. Also is the memory getting hot or just the processor? If its just the processor you can just change out the thermal paste.
  8. you need to do the GPU mod that gets rid of the green but It looks good otherwise. also that case is an icon.
  9. The reason I chose that board is for the built in Wi-Fi and because it was comparable to the one they chose and it gets rid of the ugly wifi card. In my opinion I for the build I would not spend over $150 on a motherboard and just use a wireless dongle over the ugly TPlink one.
  10. Well the X series boards are going to be little more beefy because they are meant for overclocking, But if your tight on budget the differences you will see between these boards will be very minimal.
  11. Your over paying for the motherboard, power supply also you dont need an 850W for that build. For the price I would get a motherboard with built in WiFI and I would also get a 600-750W your over spending on you PSU. Recommendations MSI MAG B560 TOMAHAWK WIFI https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FYDUDJ0?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 over all I give it a 5 out of 10
  12. I just built my system in the the 5000x and its a pretty big case.
  13. Are you trying to stick to a color theme? All these boards are good choices and it mainly comes down to looks and beget on what one you should get.
  14. If your going to use that case you might as well get another set of the Corsair RGB fans to go with the ones that come with the case. Otherwise I would get a smaller case because with the parts you have picked out the case will look fairly empty. Also I agree with @Chris PrattIf your spending the money I would get faster Ram. Also If you wait for Thursdays you can usually score a reference or EVGA 3080ti/3090 for MSRP.
  15. If it was me I would return that CPU and get a 10th gen
  16. Ya I looked at the list and it was not clear if it would work or not
  17. did you flash your bios? also did you wire up every thing and double check that everything is seated properly? I am not even sure if your processor is compatible with your motherboard
  18. Keep what you have there's no need up upgrade unless you plan on getting higher wattage parts in the future.
  19. Nearly finished having some issues with the RGB extension I purchased also I am still waiting on a couple fittings to straighten a couple of the tubes also waiting on the mesh front panel for the Corsair 5000D to be in stock as well, but hears what it looks like so far.
  20. Radiators should be coming in today along with the hard line tubing. Did a test boot before I added the waterblock to the GPU to make sure everything would boot first. Still waiting on the sleeved extensions from Newegg to get the power supply all hooked up. I am crossing my fingers it will be here today. So far I like the Corsair case and everything I have purchased. My only gripes are that the expensive pump still was using Molex and had nasty green and blue wires. For that amount they could have slapped on some black sleaving or at least use all black wires. My other gripes were with EK WB @EK Lucnot adding instructions with the GPU block or backplate I purchased. Also the interior plastic around the GPU block was ripped a bit as if it was a returned unit. other then that the block went on fine and it looks very good. Last gripe is the with the Corsair cases rubber grommets around the pass throughs they come off way too easy.
  21. Yes also EK makes several for the non FE cards. The 3080ti is just a 3090 with out the memory on the back side.
  22. an i3/ i5 with on board graphics. or an AMD APU unless you can find something used somewhere.
  23. Ya that was a tuff cookie to swallow. But my last over priced Titan X maxwell is still kicking and has been well worth the extra cost. So I am hoping that this card is the same.

Build Plan: My plan is to Repaint the front gray portion of the case along with the gray PCIe Slot covers on the back of the case to white, also I will be painting the backplate white as well. I am going to have 1 top mount 360mm rad and a front mount 360 rad. I am going to put the Reservoir on the back of the case open section of the case. I am going to keep the graphics card mounted in its normal arrangement and I will be turning the CPU block 90 degrees to allow the tubes to make straight runs. I will add more pictures once more of the parts have arrived.
