The FX processor was a mistake, but oh well
-
Rangelov reacted to Vek1313 in Galaxy (FX-6300, GTX 970)
^^Honestly with that sort of budget you definitely should have gotten an Intel CPU otherwise it is a really good build.

Rangelov reacted to IP man in Before I buy?
If you can, swap out the 960 and throw a 280x in there
But its nice as it is.

$14 cheaper and much better. I used your monitor, but would recommend the Dell E2414H. I use two and love em.

Rangelov reacted to wyattzx in New $1200 OP build!
The CPU, GPU, and SSD tell me not to take this thread seriously.
I can beat that build for $700.

Rangelov got a reaction from DJ46 in Swapping motherboards
I raplaced my motherboard a couple of weeks ago and I had to reinstall my OS. I don't know if you will just plug the SSD in and be able to boot no problem.

Rangelov reacted to KayTees in Why did you choose your graphics card?
You realistically don't need the Shield to game on your bed. Try this:

Rangelov got a reaction from KRImSIN in Why did you choose your graphics card?
I got my GPU (gtx 760) because of Geforce experience and the drivers in general. I am going to buy myself a shield tablet or a shield portable (my birthday is comming up soon) so I can game in my bed .

Rangelov got a reaction from Tedster in CrossFire vs. New card
On a 1440p monitor you should go with a 280x/290 just for the VRAM issue. 2GBs is just not going to cut it on that resolution if you ask me and even if you buy the second 270 you are probably going to run games on higher FPS, the VRAM will not be enough to pump the details and filters to high/ultra.

Rangelov reacted to XTankSlayerX in PC build
What are you going to be doing with that rig?
You don't need a i7 for games and you definitely don't need 730W for a basic 1 gpu. Setup
Go with a i5,go with 500W of power, go with a 980 or 290, go with 8 gigs of ram.

Rangelov reacted to Opcode in Windows 10 for Phone - Preview - Coming today!
Windows Phone is a decent platform but the application support has been shit for it for so many years. As a daily user of a Windows Phone I would never recommend it to anyone.
Tho I still do enjoy my phone getting updates so here's to Windows Phone 10 making any major improvements.

Rangelov reacted to Imakuni in Is building an AMD system worth it?
Building a systems with AMD GPU is worth it. But for CPUs, it's just plain bad. I'm sorry, but since AMD refuses to release new CPUs, Intel has just taken such a lead, that there's no sense in getting AMD right now.
Want me to make a build for you? If so, tell me which color you'd like it, how much you want to spend, and if you need windows.

Rangelov got a reaction from Tro in NEED ADVICE: Stuck in Silver 2 (CS:GO)
I am currently stuck on Silver master elite. I have played with Guardians and G nova 4 players several times and I have gotten 7 wins in a row with top score and at least 5 MVPs. I have played with streamers and everyone on the stream (170 people) was really impressed. I am called a smurf basically every game. I don't think of me as a gold nova 3 player at best probably but not a silver elite master. No way!

Rangelov got a reaction from Ruostunut kokis in What language should I learn ?
FYI I said in a the main post that I do indeed know German.
I do know there are much more practical languages to learn (Spanish, Chinese and so on). However I am going with Italian because I am more interested in learning Italian than any other language.
Thanks for the great responses that all you guys and girls provided. : )

Rangelov got a reaction from Totalschaden1997 in Crazy Fast Build - Need your thoughts
980 SLI? Also 1500i for that build is overkill even if you add 3 GPUs. You also could go for cheaper ddr4 since the platinums are overpriced as they are.
-
Rangelov reacted to Faceman in GTX 760 for $160
No.
You can get an R9 280 brand new for $140-$160 that is a much better GPU.
Edit* Oh wait, Canada. errm.. let me check.
Edit #2* Ya, $160 isn't a bad price. Just make sure it is working properly.
-
Rangelov reacted to WoodenMarker in How long will the 980 last me?
That's pretty silly considering the display makes up a huge part of your experience.

Some Information
The entire build has cost me £439 roughly (I didn't order the parts so couldn't check the confirmation in emails), this includes delivery. I ordered these parts from separate websites however I ordered the majority of it from CCL Computers as they had one delivery price for the entire basket (I paid £3.95 or something for 2-3 day courier), then the rest I ordered from either Amazon, Novatech, eBuyer or Dabs.
If you are wondering why I have a Home-Made antistatic wristband then that is because I forgot to order it and it would've more than likely arrived later than all of the parts so I wanted to dig straight in when I got all of my parts.
AntiStatic Wristband
If you are curious about it I followed an online guide where I wrapped some tin foil around a rubber band and then used some crocodile clips and some cable to make it. I tested it with a small battery pack, some more wires and a voltmeter and it can complete a circuit.
So that is my build list. Everything is ordered and it should all hopefully be here by Saturday 3rd January but as far as luck is concerned I'm sure they won't be. I'll be posting updates below as well as pictures if anything comes up

Rangelov got a reaction from MrSushi in Corsair H100i vs H105
The h105 has a thicker rad=better performance.
