  1. I think I've used used this in my uni network lab (can't remember the model off the top of my head), it was a solid switch. For that price, I would say it is a great deal if it has the features you need! Looking at the datasheet, it has LACP and VLANs as well as some layer 3 capabilities too. I don't think you will really need much more than that for a starter switch.
  2. Hi guys, First off, would like to apologise if this is in the wrong section of the forum, or if I'm just being an idiot... But that is partly because I don't know if I'm searching for the right thing. Basically I want to get a two port gigabit NIC and put it in a system running a version of Debian. But all of the drivers on the website are for other versions of linux, those being redhat and SUSE. I was wondering if I could use these drivers as long as they are for the same kernel version. Probably irrelevant; the OS is ProxMox VE 3.3
  3. Hi guys, I just saw the TekSyndicate video on ProxMox and was looking for a RAID card that has two mini SAS ports on it; I came across a one for very cheap, but further research has failed to tell me if it is SAS 6 or if its just just SAS 3. Due to the low price I assumed it was just SAS 3, but uses PCIe x8 and assuming it is gen 2.0 this would provide plenty of bandwidth. Could anyone shed light on the subject? Device: SUN 375-3536-02 8 port SAS RAID HBA Card PCI-Express
