  1. Following my previous post, here are some hardware suggestions: Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146067 OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146073 Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132118 CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117369 Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371059&cm_re=antec-_-17-371-059-_-Product _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Keep your RAM, and you can use your other parts or upgrade them/add more later. If you don't want to wait for the GTX 960 you can look into this card... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J0ISHMQ/?tag=extension-kb-20 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121855
  2. My thoughts are... Buy a new... Case Intel motherboard Intel CPU (the main part of your budget... choose an i7 for high quality streams or an i5 with lots of ghz). New 620W (or maybe 750W) PSU Keep your RAM, hard drive, and other stuff. If you need to, you can always upgrade your graphics card or switch to an SSD later. You might want to wait until the GTX 960 graphics cards come out for something more affordable and not overkill for streaming something from a console.
  3. I'll probably go with the GTX 970 SSC. Not sure if the Windforce G1 can fit in my case.
  4. Just was looking at the 2768 EVGA card. It seems like not a bad card for being about $100 cheaper than 2978. Any thoughts? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130949&cm_re=2768-_-14-130-949-_-Product
  5. I'm working on buying a new graphics card and monitor. For the GPU I'm going with either one of these two... - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 http://www.amazon.co...d=ATVPDKIKX0DER - EVGA 04G-2978-KR GeForce GTX 970 FTW 4GB http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814487077 I currently can't decide since I've heard the G1 from Gigabyte is quieter and has better OC, but EVGA has awesome support. So, which card should I go with?
  6. Thanks Dragoon. idk, I'm starting to feel like waiting a year might be the best option. G-sync, higher res, and 144hz is all so enticing. It's just so expensive for me.

It has been forever since I've purchased a monitor, and I'm really, really hoping to get something with G-sync. A friend of mine had this monitor... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313 He was then able to upgrade the chip to G-sync with a G-sync module sold by Nvidia. I can't find any of the modules, and I don't know if they are being sold anymore. I'm really hoping to get an awesome G-sync experience for under $400 (if that's possible). This is primarily for gaming, so the most important thing to me in buying a monitor is to have no lag or as little as possible. I would love to have a monitor with 1440 or higher resolution someday, but that's probably not in the budget at this point. So, are there still G-sync upgrade modules out there that I could buy OR Is there a decent monitor I can buy that comes with G-sync for under $400?
  8. I would use it for college... video editing, audio engineering/recording, streaming, and some shameless gaming
