Fortunately, I bought from Microcenter, so I can return it if I have to. If the answer is simply "The XTX has transient spikes that necessitate a 1000w PSU, despite them claiming 850 is recommended", I can just upgrade my PSU, I suppose, instead of returning it. If I have to return it and then go with the Red Devil (the only other XTX I'm aware of them carrying right now), though, at $1100, I might as well go for the 4080, which is a bit unpalatable itself, but the sad reality of it is that nVidia stuff (and Intel, generally) just works, as much as I wanted to go with an all AMD build this time around.

I would have been floored had Intel's first ever dedicated GPU be able to go head to head, or even surpass, the other two established players. That they got as close as they did the first time around, is nothing short of amazing, and I hope to get one of their cards one day (assuming I ever buy a system new enough...and they sort out the driver teething issues)

One thing I hate when installing using a Microsoft account is that it creates my user folder as "C:\Users\joshu". If I create with an offline account first, I can have it be "C:\Users\joshua", then convert the account to an online account. My OCD is not okay with "joshu".

I play Minecraft at 4K and I don't use "shadders", or even any shaders. I like the original aesthetic. Sometimes I throw on Sphax, and that's about it.

It's funny everyone presents it as "Apple wants taxpayers money!!!!!!11111". Do people think companies that make physical ID's are charities? They get tax payer money too for design and production of gov issued ID's. But evil Apple, how dare they expect monetary compensation for work! And from your taxes! Outrageous!
