  1. I called B&H and they have no listing for it currently, however I googled it and several european websites already have it listed and available to be delivered. How much longer do you guys expect it to be before it's available for us here in the US?
  2. I called B&H and they said they're getting more in stock Monday next week so it should ship out then!
  3. I did the same, it now says back ordered on the order status. Anyone have an idea of how long that might take?
  4. It said pre-order when I placed it. Does that mean I'm going to be waiting months on end?
  5. Got a 5900x from B&H within the first 5 minutes of launch but it now says backordered.
  6. I managed to get my hands on a Ryzen 5900x to upgrade from my i7 6800k. So now I need a motherboard and I am wanting to know what the difference is between the Asus Hero and the new Dark Hero that is supposed to be released this month. My processor is backordered from B&H anyways so I may be waiting a while. Is it worth it to wait for the newer motherboard? Here are the two links: https://rog.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-Crosshair/ROG-Crosshair-VIII-Hero-Model/ https://rog.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Crosshair/ROG-Crosshair-VIII-Dark-Hero-Model/
  7. They wouldn't put it on their own website if it wasn't. Just watch a youtube video on how to do it on an msi mobo (should be similar looking bios as yours) if you really want to make extra extra sure. You shouldn't need a youtube video though, it's pretty straight forward. Read an article about it if you feel like it.
  8. I'd recommend getting the new processor, it would be worth it to me, especially since it will last longer than the older one. Just wait a few days for it to be released.
  9. Go to https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z370-A-PRO download it onto a blank flash drive, then boot into bios and select the flash drive to install the new firmware.
  10. Will the MSI Prestige X570 Creation Motherboard, ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO, or Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Formula, be better for overclocking? Or is there another you'd recommend more? Thank you
  11. Thank you guys, I agree the CPU will likely help the most. Will the MSI Prestige X570 Creation Motherboard, ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO, or Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Formula, be better for overclocking?
  12. I have an Intel i7-6800k and don't get a consistent 240 fps with my rtx 2080 ti, should I upgrade CPU or GPU? I play competitive fortnite and apex with a samsung odyssey G7 which is 1440p at 240hz, I get an average of about 160 in games with dips down to 80 fps sometimes and highs in creative around 300. I've overclocked my cpu to 4.1ghz, and increased my gpu by 100mghz, can't overclock anymore because didn't win silicon lottery. 1. I have my eye on the Ryzen 5900x cpu, and Ryzen 6900xt gpu, I was wondering if I could get a significant enough frame rate boost by just upgrading one of them. That is, if I can get my hands on one at launch. 2. Also would I have to upgrade my 64 GB 2400Mhz DDR4 Corsair Dominator Platinum if I got an x570 mobo? 3. Would I even notice much of a difference if I upgraded one of them or would you recommend waiting another 2 years? Update: will the MSI Prestige X570 Creation Motherboard, ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO, or Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Formula, be better for overclocking?
  13. Found out why, uninstalled the windows update and it worked:
  14. It won't let me overclock my cpu past 3.8ghz on one core, apparently it only overclocks when using the bus and not the multiplier, I tried from 1.2 volts to 1.35 volts and everytime both hwmonitor and cpu z say it's running at 3.6 on 5 cores a 3.8 on one core, even though I set my multiplier to 39 on all cores and I also tried 40 on all cores. I have a Asus rampage v edition 10 mobo.... and a h115i corsair liquid cooler.... this shouldn't happen.
  15. If it's less than a 10 to 15 frame difference then I'll wait a couple more generations.
  16. https://wccftech.com/intel-9th-gen-core-i9-9900k-z390-and-core-i9-9980xe-x299-cpus-full-family-announced/ Intel will be releasing the i9-9900X in about a month, so that's what I'm referring to.
  17. I currently have a gtx 1080 and an i7 6800k with a 1440p 144hz monitor, I recently bought the rtx 2080 ti zotac amp (managed to snag it at MSRP while it was available to pre order on amazon before stock arrived for a couple hours). I was wondering if my current cpu the i7 6800k will bottleneck the rtx 2080 ti and if I upgrade to one of the other cpus if I'll see more than a 10 frame difference in games while streaming. If not I think I'll just wait a couple more generations. Thoughts? 18. Thank you, I will reply with my framerate once I get home from work.
  19. Damn, you're right, what if I ran it with lower settings, no post processing and low shadows? Maybe I can just run it at low settings until the 1180 is released?
  20. I have an i7 6800k and a gtx 1080, I already have one Samsung CHG70 32 inch 16:9 monitor and I was wondering if I got 2 more, what kind of framerate could I expect using nvidia surround running all 3 with the game?
