Exarkun631 got a reaction from Derkoli in 5.1 gaming speakers which to buy?
Hit up all the "Goodwill", "Saver's", "Salvation Army" or whatever local equivalent 2nd hand donation store you have around you.  Finding a PC 5.1 speaker system in good working order will be tough but finding a Surround Sound Stereo Tuner with HDMI or optical/SPDIF in will be easier.  Then just hunt for decent speakers.  Finding a good powered subwoofer will be hardest of all but in the end, you'll have spent between $10-$50 and have a system that shakes the roof as opposed to some wankey PC 5.1 that costs a couple hundo.

Exarkun631 got a reaction from themctipers in Anyone know of a volunteer tech shop like Free Geek that's in NY?
So I looked into this around the time you posted actually,  I spoke with the administrator of my local SUNY school IT dept. and he stated that in NY, it's illegal for any entity, be they Gov, semi-Gov or NFP that r/c Gov funding to "donate" or even sell their old tech to any old recycler or even private individuals (which is ironic considering its OUR money in the form of collected taxes that bought the shit in the 1st place) or a place like FreeGeek, unless they have a NYS or County/Town level "contract".  That essentially means that unless you're related to a Gov official and u own a recycling facility, you ain't getting anything.  All the private entities sell their shit to recyclers who sell it to overseas entities whom employ child/slave labor to harvest REE's or any other metals that are worth currency.  We're stuck trolling Saver's and Goodwills for one off private donations OR skimming the cesspool that is CL.   I  NY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well good sir, i also had this problem and i fixed it by a lucky hunch. This worked for me and i have a Nividia GPU with Nivdia control panel i do not know how to fix it on an AMD card.

So for some reason i started thinking about the Nividia control panel and how it might be affecting the program. I had put all the Nivida 3D settings to max (anti aliasing 16x etc) because i purchased a 1080 ti and wanted to try it out. So i started with adding Ryzen Master as an editable program, after that (and many settings being turned on and off for testing) i found turning anti aliasing - FXAA off for Ryzen Master will fix the opacity. It worked for me hope it will work for you, sure beats google imaging "black" and putting Ryzen Master in front of it.

    PS: Will include pics
