stuka06 got a reaction from kachel94 in Razer Seirēn
I use a Blue Yeti, so I have no interest in buying this microphone. What might be interessting though is the shock mount. I'm still using my Yeti on the included stand, much to the dismay of my friends on Skype (Cherry MX Blues) and the shockmount for the Yeti ist ridiculousy expensive. So this optional shock mount, or after a while third party shock mounts might be a viable option.
As for the product. Yes, it might "only" be a reskinned Blue Yeti. But I take that as a good thing. Microphone quality has for too long fallen by the wayside and people stepping up to quality like this is definitely a huge advancement!
Oh, and everyone hating on Razer for the mark up. Yes, the Yeti is 30% cheaper (here in Germany) but Razer does still have R&D costs. These costs have to be accounted for. If people know Razer as a brand that delivers quality, something that I would attest to (although this anecdotal evidence is a problem when it comes to forming an opinion of a manufacturer), then adding another piece to their whole peripheral eco-system for stuff that looks good(taste is subjective, I know) and functions well just plain makes sense.

Oh yeah.
I personally really like my Supernova 850, but I really don't see the need for you to change. Because it really is only a sidegrade unless the nonmodularity of your cables are impeding airflow in your case.
But even then, like theodro suggested, get a SSD.Biggest quality of life upgrade you can make.

If you're in need of 11 Drive Bays, may I suggest the Lian Li PC-V2310.
http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/pc-v2130/
It has enough drive sleds to house your current array of storage drives and enough space for even more in the future.
Your other hardware can easily be housed in this 2001'esque obelisk of a case.
Plus, the build quality of Lian-Li cases is impeccable!

Saw this:

On this test there was a 2º difference.
It is not meaningful i guess.
Cheers!

stuka06 reacted to TheRunningOtaku in SSD with sata 2
Upgrading to an SSD is one of the most effective, cheapest and versatile ways to upgrade your PC. If you're using a HDD, I suggest getting an SSD for performance and reliability.
Personally I reccomend the MX100 256GB from Crucial.
I'd also try defragmenting the HDD and running CrystalDiskInfo on it to check if it's still healthy.
Sata 2 will bottleneck it, but it'll still be worlds faster than a HDD.
In the future, though, CPU upgrade might be worth it - check out the new Athlon X4 860k for a decent and cost-effective upgrade. (the Athlon 64 x2 6000+ is really old)

Yeah, buying a bottle of >90% alcohol was, what I was talking about. Any will do.
And tbh, I have used alcohol in the region of brandy (~50%) before and it worked fine. But I wouldn't do it again.
