Clyne got a reaction from dalekphalm in How bad is road construction in your town?
Soon to be widening towards London! Jokes aside, it is pretty the main key between Midwestern US to Central Canada, I do respect MTO for keeping it in decent shape for the sheer volume that goes through the 401. Same can't be said for Gardiner since that's always been falling apart.

Ontario only has 2 seasons:
Winter and Road Construction
Basically once they finish one road (or 5), they move on to some other road (or another 5). The 401 (The busiest Freeway in Canada) is also nearly always under constant construction.

Apple products are overpriced but it's worth it to buy one.

Got myself a X48 board, G3 750W, Cryorig H5 Ultimate for all of this
E8500s are like 6 bucks so perhaps 4GHZ run on that

Clyne got a reaction from Arika in 1080p@144 vs 1440p@60 paired with GTX1070
I can do 1440P 60HZ ultra on my 980 Ti, handles current games fine. FC5, ROTTR, PUBG can do 1440P 60HZ ultra with no problems, even with the GPU at stock.

Wouldn't call it a sale, at least they got stock out compared to the past few months.

Clyne got a reaction from kelvinhall05 in The 1030, is this video true?
It is the cheapest GPU with HDMI 2.0, it's still viable as a 4K HTPC card.

Clyne got a reaction from dizmo in Found a good deal on a GTX 1060 3GB, but is it about to be obsolete?
If you went on the new, I think it's not really worth it unless you can lower it down to $500-550.

Clyne got a reaction from Taf the Ghost in Intel Z390 motherboards and Intel I7-9700K 8-cores
Even before coffee lake 6C came out, there were leaks and rumors about 8C on Z390. I was planning on upgrading from 7700K to 8700K until I saw the 8C rumor. Anyway Z370 is basically a rushed chipset that they did to compete with Ryzen, I think of it as Z270 with higher support. Z390 is an entirely new chipset, rather than a rebrand/refresh.

You don't need any other cables, just hook up the PhysX card as normally.
Make sure to click dedicate to PhysX in Nvidia Control Panel.

Clyne got a reaction from johnukguy in 980ti still worth it?
Sure, depending on the card and proof of overclocks.
Anyway the 980 Ti OC'd beats the 1070 stock/overclocked regardless, just that the 980 Ti lacks 2GB less while using more power than the 1070.

High performance, disable C States and get rid of speedstep.

Clyne got a reaction from maartendc in what's better 980ti or 1070
Most of the time, 980 Ti's OC'd will beat a 1070 OC'd as 1070 can't overclock very far. 1070 stock beats 980 Ti stock, but once the 980 Ti is OC'd then it performs near 1070 Ti-1080 stock level.

Clyne got a reaction from Nas in Base clock stuck at 0.79Ghz, 100% utilization (7700K, Z270-E)
Gif shows 102.99 BCLK x 8X multiplier=823mhz.
Try to disable any power saving stuff in BIOS and Windows to prevent it downclocking to 8x multipler, it should be at 42-45X if you didn't touch multipler.
