  1. Tried that too. Yeah, I though it was necessary for some reason but I just uninstalled it (and reinstalled the driver like you said, but it still didn't work) and everything is going fine. It actually is less of a pain because I don't have to worry about it changing my power settings like it used to. Before it disabled my wireless LAN card because the "allow to disable to improve battery life" check was checked by default. Just tried that too... No such luck.
  2. I am uninstalling my regular lenovo power management I realized that I probably didn't have the windows 7 version installed correctly when I tried that.
  3. I tried installing the Windows 7 version, but i had some trouble installing it, and after I was fairly certain it was installed correctly I didn't have any luck with the wifi "switch."
  4. After I did some funky business with the power button and battery on my Lenovo Z585 laptop to get it to fully charge, my wifi "switch" turned off and I cannot switch it on. I did some research and tried several things to get it to work again (such as installing a different version of Lenovo Power Management, updating my drivers, and inspecting my wireless LAN card). I tried using borrowed Belkin Wireless USB Adapter to connect to the Wi-Fi and it worked. This is what the "switch" area looks like now: Could it be that my wireless LAN card is on the fritz since this wireless adapter bypassed the problem? How could I tell if it is? Also here are my specs: I you haven't been able to tell yet, I am not an expert around computers (Linus's videos got me very interested in them though, so I figured I would ask this here) Thank you in advance.
