The difference between consumer and enterprise HDDs is that the latter have features which lower the rate of unrecoverable data errors on the drive. Hey there, I am sorry to hear about your issue. I would suggest that you check the cabling once again - the HDD's power cable and the SATA cable. Another thing you could do is check what HDD mode is activated in the BIOS. In storage configuration menu in the BIOS make sure the SATA drive is not set to IDE but to AHCI. Hope this helps. Hey there, I am sorry to hear about your issue. What I would suggest is to check the SATA cables, because the motherboard might have issues detecting the hard drive. You can disconnect them from the HDD and the motherboard as well as the power from the HDD and plug them back in. You can also try plugging the SATA cable into a different port on the motherboard. Another thing you could do is run Data Lifeguard Diagnostics to check if everything is fine with the hard drive itself.
