Thanks for your help I canceled the Envy and went with the pb278q, i got a refurb one for 290 so im even happier I might just do surround in a couple of months

So I'd be looking at a almost IPS slightly OLED panel? I'd be okay with that although I can still cancel this monitor if you know of any alternatives in that price range

I've never owned a VA panel what would you say the difference is since it still has a 7ms response time and I heard that a VA is half TN, half IPS

I ordered this monitor on amazon [http://www.amazon.com/HP-32-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor-Quad-HD/dp/B00NNQGHXC] I was presuming it was IPS, but it has WVA+ on the amazon page, I thought WVA meant wide viewing angle so does anyone know whether this monitor is IPS, my other option for a monitor was a PB278q but I've fallen in love with the look of this one so I'm hoping it is IPS because I need it for color work. Thanks for the website, Ill probably order it from them when it returns to stock, I am wondering though if you think the laptop might not support the higher res[im not worried about the touchscreen because thats a seperate feature]because of validation reasons, I upgraded it to Windows 10 right when I bought it so it has those settings in place I am going to upgrade the RAM to 16gbs soon anyway so I dont mind doing some work with hacks but I'd rather not. SO if you think I'll have any problems and might know a way to fix any if they come[cuz FHD IPS touch is what I really want] then I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks again, Al

I very recently bought a used Dell e7440 off of craigslist for $400 great deal but there were a few drawbacks the specs of this model are as follows 4600u I7 8gb ram 256gb SSD 1366x768 TN panel no touchscreen Now what I want to do is swap out the screen of this one for a model that has the FHD IPS touch pane Ive seen reports of similar things before so I am hoping for some good news - So does anyone know where I can find a screen for that specific model, I found an article [http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-2246766/replacing-touch-laptop-screen-touch-screen.html] that says it was possible but since I dont do much ebay anymore so if anyone can help me find it this model on some secondary site, reputable if possible, help would be much appreciated. Well I need a laptop here's some of the specs I'm looking for Core i5 either 4th or 5th gen Touchscreen (not a must) Backlit keyboard FHD IPS screen 13 or so inch screen I'm fine with dedicated graphics any ram is fine same with storage Also the laptop. Needs to be able to be upgraded with an SSD and the ram needs to be upgradable as well I plan on switching out the HDD to a 256 GB SSD as well as 16 GB of RAM as soon as I receive the item I would like to spend under 500 but 500 to 600 is OK as well (for. I just set up my new pc with a r9 295x2 and cant get afterburner to find anything but microsoft basic display adapter [i have the dvi cable plugged into gpu] [and yes i know its running cuz this thing is damn loud hence the reason for wanting to clock it down
