  1. What is the best way to find that out?
  2. So I have a modem and router from Comcast that is kind of old and well....bad. I also have a wireless card in my PC (Realtek RTL8192CE Wireless LAN 802.aan PCI-E NIC) so when you combine all of them my download speeds are quite bad when compared to the average speeds in my area. I can rarely get a peak download speed of 1.2 MB/s on Steam and obtain a low of sub 50 KB/s with the average being 660KB/s. What can be done about this situation? Speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4940501565 Modem: Ubee U10C018.80 Router: Linksys WRT54G v8
  3. So with that said, should I just go ahead and buy the parts now? Are they just going to get continuously more expensive?
  4. Last week the 4690k on Amazon was about $200 and now it costs $230. The MSI Z97s SLI Krait Edition was somewhere from $100 to $110 and it is now $120. Why did these price changes occur as they did not appear to be on sale during the time I was looking at them?
  5. Yes. I had an HDD with Windows 7, bought a SSD and put Windows 8.1 on there and once Windows 10 came around I did the free upgrade for the SSD.
  6. So download the Windows installer onto a flashdrive --> Get a key from reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap or something similar and start from scratch?
  7. Try and figure out which reasoning is more important to you and go from there.
  8. I currently have Windows 10, a janky mobo that came with a pre-built and an i7 930. What do I need to do so that when my 4690k and z97s come in the transition is smooth?
  9. That would be great if a Micro Center wasn't so far away If I purchase the 212 EVO at a later time then this will work. Thank you!
  10. Is there a cheaper motherboard available? Adding in the 212 EVO just makes the overall cost too high.
  11. Title says it all, what Processor and motherboard would be best for a budget of ~$300? I would need an after-market cooler as well (Hyper 212 EVO)
  12. After clicking Setup.exe and clicking Install Now I was brought to a dialogue box that says, "Windows was unable to locate required installation file [boot.wim]. Verify that the installation source is valid, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070002 As you said before, does this mean that it's not fully downloaded yet?
  13. I'm really bad with this stuff, I can't find this location can you help? I'm on Windows 8.1
