  1. Wow r5 3600x really cheap it seems to me. I suppose I can actually go up 350 dollars for cpu though if ryzen cpus are this cheap
  2. well I'm talking about a whole new build though. I really wanted to build a new rig with amd cpu because of their come back.
  3. Thanks for the reply guys I suppose my cpu is really good. But if I was to make a brand new system from scratch using amd cpu what would be an equivalent or better cpu.
  4. Hey guys I was thinking about upgrading my i5 8600k with an new amd CPU but I have no idea what is an actual upgrade for me on amd side. Right now my cpu is overclocking up to 5.2ghz and my graphic card is an gtx 1080.
  5. Another update: I downloaded an app called whocrashed and it looks like ntoskrnl.exe crashed my computer most of the time. There was one instance of Malwayre byte causing the crash but out of 4 crashes 3 was ntoskrnl can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
  6. Okay here is an update I am still constantly getting BSOD from bad pool caller, I tried reinstalling windows checked for ram issues, and did the whole nine yard but no changes to the issue. I have a working theory though that whenever my steam client downloads an update or a game to my segate driver which is not the driver that has my window on it, it starts to give me through. I dont know if this the same for other hard drives because I havent downloaded anything to it yet but I must say this is very annoying because I keep crashing every 10 minutes after booting. Does anyone have any information on how to fix this issue?
  7. Okay so my memory is good, I assume that this isn't a CPU issue so I'm going to enable my cpu overclock again and ive turned off chrome hardware acceleration so hopefully that fixes the problem. Thanks again taf. Also I did notice this was happening after the latest nvidia driver update I did see this problem so I will notify Nvidia as well. I just wish I had some kind of proof to show them that this was happening because of their new driver.
  8. Hey there guys, recently I have been getting bad pool caller blue screen on my computer and I cannot figure out what the problem is. I read that it could be a bad overclocking on my CPU so I disabled the auto overclock that my mother board dose from the bios. However, I am still getting bad pool caller errors. This mostly happens when I am using Youtube on chrome but I haven't had it happen when I'm playing games. I am just worried that this will start hurting my hardware like my CPU can anyone help me? Also recently I did download PIA's desktop app could that be an issue as well?
  9. so as the title suggests I was wondering what would be the most cost effective motherboard to buy for the new intel i5 coffe lake cpu. I see some wildly varying prices and since I am already droping at least 280 bucks on the cpu I was wondering if I can skimp on the cpu.
  10. I wonder how much those will cost
  11. ill defiantly think about that thanks for the suggestions
  12. Ill try but i already threw away the box so im gona have to open up my computer real quick
  13. maybe I should, but with all the new and exciting hardware announced from both amd, nvidia, and intel I dont know what else I should be saving up.
  14. I have extra cash I am saving for upgrades for my computer but I am not sure what would be the most significant upgrade to my computer my current rig is CPU: i5 4690k OC 4ghz Graphics card: evga gtx 1080 SSD: 128g ssd for boot ups Hard drive:3 tb of hdd in various speeds (mostly 5400rpm) Ram: 12gb of ram (with various speed, honeslty I just stuck them in there from my previous pre built computer) Monitor: 1440p with 144hz from acer Mouse: Logitech proteus core Keyboard:Corsair keyboard with cherry mx brown switches. I mostly use my computer for gaming but seems like my computer is at its max when it comes to getting performance out of each game. I am considering quality of life upgrades as well.
  15. thank you guys ill look for ryzen for now because I feel like AMD is making a good cost to performance chips.
