MSI Twin Frozr GTX 970 is maybe the best for silence/performance in 970 series. I would go with corsair, but g.skill will do the work too.

You can go for i5-4690K + Asrock Z97 Extreme4. Also replace H100i with Noctua NH-D14, you will have same performance, but with Noctua your rig will be more quiet. In this price range you can buy even mechanical keyboard with good mouse.

None of both. Why you are so hyped about RGB backlit? I would go for WASD / Das / Feenix keyboard. Or even CM Storm keyboard, because they are cheap and decent.

This CPU will handle this (you can OC it to 4.0Ghz). Yeah you can get whatever monitor u want. I choose 3x R9 290x because they have better performance than 2x GTX 980. If you like features of GTX 980 (shadowplay, etc) go for it, but you can always use fraps and 3-Way Crossfire is better.

Dude it's hard to make good PC with this color combo. Are you willing to paint a little bit? You need to mod your components to look fantastic.

Yup, the Gigabyte's one is OK. Also you can go for Asrock z97 Killer, If you want more red. Asrock aren't bad, I actually using them.
EDIT: Wait, I did the build in USD. I though you are 1600USD budget. I'm sorry m8... The prices are really tricky in AUD. I will try to look for better build and will edit my comment later.
EDIT: 1616$ If you are OK with that.

I haven't see anything bad about it /only complaining about confusing bios/, but if you want asrock swap it out for Asrock Z97 Pro4, it's even the better choice, I just wanted to save some bucks.

AMD won't do the job. Xeon/i7 are the best for the job (rendering). Start with Sony Vegas and make compilations in youtube as begining? There are so much ways to go in video editing. Look and Adobe software. It's your choice. Just go for GTX. Quadro are more specific and in general video editing they won't get over GTX .

It's a bit more expensive, but I think it's worth it, depending o what kind of tasks he'll be doing. If he's doing CPU intensive stuff, then the Xeon will be definitely worth the cash. If you're looking to save more money, and he doesn't game at all, you can use your build and drop the dedicated GPU entirely and just use the integrated GPU on the CPU. That wont work with this Xeon build though because it doesn't have an iGPU.

This would be a build without a dedicated GPU. It will be perfectly fine for web browsing, streaming, videos, etc, but it won't be good at gaming.

Also note that both builds do not have a mass storage HDD. I did that because I noticed you didn't bother, and so I figured you already had something to use for that.

Devastion got a reaction from JoaoPRSousa in How to protect yourself from Malwares
Codes that cause damage on your system
There are malwares, spywares, viruses, adware, trojan, worm and maybe others. All of this cause damage on your system. Some of them can reproduce themself. There are different types of viruses. You can read all of them if you just search in google.

    How to protect your system
Be careful with .exe (executable) files. Most of the viruses (100% in my experience) are in .exe file. So becareful with this. Don't download from unofficial sites. Your antivirus won't detect the virus if it's encrypted or/and binded to other files. When the virus is binded to other files it make 2 programs in 1 file. So you still can install the program, but you can get the virus too.

    Browsing
Be careful while you are browsing. I recommend you to install Adblock, Better Privacy, Ghostery etc. addons for safety browsing. Update your browser always to the latest version and disable java (the newest browsers disable it automaticaly, because the exploit). Also if you use firefox you can enable master password to prevent password stealers.

    Keep your system up
Always update your OS. I recommend the following programs for security:
Malwarebytes for system cleanup;  ThreatFire or Key Scrambler to keep your password and stuff encrypted; Browse with Firefox or Chrome. If you think any file is virus you can test it in sandbox.

That's a short "guide" how to prevent your system from getting viruses and bad stuff. I can go deep in this, but I want to keep it short. You can search in google for more information.

I have Razer Blackwidow 2010 since 2010 () with blue switches and it's really good for gaming and typing is so easy (ultra-easy). They have big tactile feedback and now I can't switch to red/black, because it's feelin' strange. Go for blue/browns or red/blacks. It's personal choice. There isn't "the best for gaming". It all depends on you.

+1 Cheap and reliable. I don't think it's worth to invest tons of money for samsung or any other expensive brand, because SSDs are growing fast and in near future they will totally replace HDD for personal computers (well servers with 100TB+ will be hard to be replaced ).

Yes, but the S3988 is field tested and the shape of the DeathAdder is better in my opinion too.

The differences are truly minute, I never have any trouble whatsoever with my DeathAdder. The tracking has always been buttery smooth and I never need more than 6400 DPI anyways.

The Audio Technica ATH M50s or m50xs are pretty good. Have a great soundstage, no overpowered bass, doesn't need an amp and are closed-back.
