OP has the best gaming mentality. Do it for fun and relaxation.  Its good to see someone from the younger generation so intelligent and not take games seriously.  If you start taking things to seriously it becomes a job or chore. You shouldn't play games like that.

The best is to calculate the cable runs you will be doing taking into consideration the color pattern, take the length of each cable bundle and the number of cables with different colors. In general a good rule of thumb is to order an extra 10% or so to ensure you ahve enough for mistakes or any other little things you may want to sleeve.

The HX series has less failures then EVGA and Corsair has better support by far. At least that's my experience

Your mobo only takes up to 1333mhz ram yet the ram selected is 1600mhz. change the board or lower the ram speed. you can get 1333mhz ram with gskill

I skimped out on my rig when upgrading, went for a Phenom II instead of an i5 2500k. I spent the saved money on alcohol.

What he is doing is baiting the the Newegg audience and the LTT audience to watch his videos so he gets more views hence more money. Bad publicity is great publicity especially on you tube. More views more money.
 
 As for Linus being paid to do reviews i don't think that is true. He gets paid to put sponsor spots in his videos with a totally unrelated product that's not a competitor to the review product. He has a sponsor spot for the phone holder on some of his motherboard and case videos. Then he might put an Intel sponsor spot on a phone review. He then might put a corsair case sponsor spot in a graphics card review.  Thats why they are called sponsor spots not adverts.

You guys are completely out to lunch if you think Corsair WANTS to spend time and MONEY answering questions all day about why the RGB keyboards aren't available yet...

Well they had to design a whole new PCB for the keys as they are not the same as previous cherry mx switches
 
There is a lot of design, testing and development to take into account, the board as to function perfectly and be as reliable as we expect, there is also the software corsair to design and create too
 
I think they want it to be perfect since there is so much hype around this, if they release it half arsed with faults people will scream murder at corsair
