Ever since I installed the Fall Creators Update my computer will not wake up from sleep. I put it to sleep every day before I leave to go to work and when I get home and wake it up the PC turns on for a few seconds and shuts completely off. When I push the power button it boots up like normal but when it boots to the lock screen I am still logged in and everything is as I left it when I put it to sleep. There is also another issue I have been having for over a year and a half. My computer randomly wakes itself up from sleep. Sometimes it's two seconds after I put it to sleep and sometimes it goes about half an hour. I have disabled wake timers in advanced power settings and disabled any wake times in the BIOS. I don't know what to do anymore and its pissing me off. Can anyone help me?

File transfers to my NAS are extremely slow
Samsonsuperco replied to Samsonsuperco's topic in Servers, NAS, and Home Lab
Ah that's it. There was ~20GB of cache files that ended up being around 22k files in total. Weird it didn't say the file was 20gb. -
All my PC's and NAS are connected through a gigabit switch. Normally transfers run about 60MB/s. Recently it has gotten really slow which is weird considering I hardly use my NAS. I only access it a few times a week. Now as I'm typing this, at about the halfway point it sped up to 70MB/s like normal?

What's the Origin of the Nickname You Go By?
Samsonsuperco replied to PlayStation 2's topic in Off Topic
OMG we have the same nick name. When I was in high school we had a study hall day for band class (basically just catch up on homework during band) and a few of my friends were in the hallway right outside the door. Also right outside the door is a bubbler (or water fountain as some people call it). When I bent over to get a drink one of my friends goes "woah, Big Booty Judy", and since then it stuck. The nickname has kind of been refined to just "Judy" and thats mostly what my friends use. -
I like Dell's naming and also Nvidia Quadro sounds nice.

It's a blue '02 Jetta. It's the base model which means no power anything. 233k miles. Rust in all the typical places.

Reminds me of Everybody Hates Chris.

It's a 6000 BTU unit so its actually not bad... only pulls about 600-650 watts on full blast. I think the thermostat on it is broken because the compressor is constantly on when it is on full blast, but I can't turn it down because after I turn it off I have to let it sit for a few minutes or else the compressor gets stuck or something like that and trips the breaker. So I can't put it on like 5 or something because I'm afraid it will try and kick in too soon and trip a breaker. I have a really small room though so it cools like a beast on full blast. I can easily get it down to a balmy 65F (18.3C). 62F (16.6C) if I really push it. I will try this

Wow, I kind of forgot about this Here are the controls when I go to bed: And when I wake up:

I turn the window A/C in my bedroom on every night on full blast and every morning it is turned off. It is an older unit (from the mid 80s) so it doesnt have some sort of safety timer and the controls are knobs. Everyone else in the house says they didn't touch it so I'm the only other one. Is it possible that I turned it off in my sleep and don't remember doing so? It's irritating because it always ends up getting so hot in my room overnight.

So I graduate in less than two weeks and I am failing multiple classes and have an entire semester of 11th grade english to do online by the 26th. All my classes have to be passing and all online school has to be done by the 26th of May. It is the 22nd of May. If i don't meet this deadline then I don't walk at graduation. (Now before anyone says it, yes I know I got myself into this situation and I shouldve started dealing with it ALOT sooner. I just feel like I need to tell someone who won't be disappointed in me and yell at me or something like that.) One of my failing classes is 21st Century Lit. and Comp. Basically 12th grade english. I have a 26.5% for the semester and I don't think theres much I can do because alot of those points I can't make up. The other two failing classes are shop classes, (Welding, Super mileage car) which I shouldnt really have a problem saving. And to make it worse, my mom already planned a graduation party for my sister and I, so what am I going to look like sitting with my family watching my sister walk? This is going to be one awkward party... I don't know what to do anymore.

I dropped my Dell Precision M6500 a few weeks ago from about 5' in a parking lot. It was inside my backpack but that didn't save it. My friend had one a couple years ago that he dropped and he still had his old chassis (its bent too but not as bad) so i swapped all my parts into his.
