LG's OLEDs are terrible and you shouldn't buy them. The LG V30 has the exact same problems (well, it IS the exact same panel). The Pixel 2 XL is why Google should really consider making their own products instead of having other companies manufacture them.
Yes, the iPhone X uses a Samsung OLED panel. It will look so much better.

The Pixel 2 was already a deal breaker with no dual lens camera and not a good enough bezelless design. This screen also a deal breaker, and since the Pixel 2 also has no headphone jack, I don't feel bad at all about getting an iPhone X.

Cree340 got a reaction from BingoFishy in Razer Blade or MacBook Pro 15?
Honestly... maybe neither. My personal experience with the Razer Blade has been quite poor and the MacBook Pro has a lacking GPU for its price. In addition, if you cannot run MacOS, I can't recommend the MacBook Pro at all-- the trackpad drivers in Windows are bad and the MacBook has no support for dGPU to iGPU switching (or vice versa) in Windows with Boot Camp. This means the battery life is reduced significantly and the computer runs much warmer in more basic tasks. If you are able to use MacOS, the MacBook Pro is nice but definitely overpriced considering its GPU. The Razer Blade, in my experience, is a worse option than the MBP, its battery life is really short and its fans run quite audibly (much louder than the MBP)-- not to mention the smaller, lower quality display which has a PWM backlight vs the DC one in the MBP (so the blade feels more fatiguing on the eyes versus many other laptops). Also, the Razer Blade does have a much slower NVME SSD vs the MacBook Pro. So, it seems like Razer cuts corners and uses mediocre parts in their laptops. All in all, I think you should look into the Dell XPS 15 or some Lenovo Thinkpads for your usage instead of the MBP or Razer Blade.

I have another one... People who ask you to help them with something computer related and all you have to do is google it and click the first link.

There's this person at my school, that no matter how many times I've convinced him otherwise thinks that a computer is a tower and a laptop is not a computer. So whenever I say "so your computer..." he says, "I don't have a computer" and then I reply with, but don't you have your acer laptop and then he says, "Its a laptop not a computer"

Funny how that works   I feel like the only people who don't want SSDs or recognize the benefit are people who've never used one.

My mom knows nothing about computers, but loves to play games.

Her laptop is an Asus from 2013 with a Core-i3 and integrated graphics.  Usually she plays those WildTangent games, but as a huge fan, she wants to play The Walking Dead.
The Walking Dead obviously has bigger system requirements than the WildTangent games.

She can't seem to understand this.

Okay, I have a funny story to share here

So I got a phone call from my granddad earlier, who I haven't spoken to in over 2 years. Now I'm not going to go into our personal issues here (it has to do with a power surge that took out his fridge and tv a couple years ago which he unjustly blames me for, whatever...). Unsurprisingly he started complaining as soon as I picked up the phone. Not able to get in a word myself, I was about to hang up on him when I realized he was complaining about a PC, not the fridge or whatever. It died on him a few days ago and he was blaming me for building him a shitty computer and ripping him off. Now I was a bit confused at first because I couldn't remember building him a PC recently. Turns out he was complaining about a PC I built him back in February 2008 for 400€, which included a windows license. Apparently it was still going strong after more than 8 years! He eventually hung up on me when I said "Holy balls, that thing was still alive!?". Don't know what killed it eventually, I'd really like to know but I doubt he's gonna let me take a look at it.

This is for enterprise use but if you need DDOS mitigation you'll need a offsite solution such as Black Lotus https://www.blacklotus.net/protect/protection-for-networks/. Examples of onsite systems (albeit with less capacity) is FortiDDOS http://www.fortinet.com/products/fortiddos/ddos-mitigation-appliances.html or https://www.checkpoint.com/products/ddos-protector/. Even though such systems exist, most enterprise and large business grade internet connections have anti-ddos provided by the ISP.
For normal people, as said earlier, changing IP addresses and a decent firewall on your network should be enough but instead of just blocking pings, you should set its that it is in a  "stealth" and drops the ddos packets silently instead.

A friend asked if he needed a 2nd graphics card to run a 2nd monitor... I told him that graphics cards could usually handle 4-6 monitors...
It's still hard to explain that playing with ridiculous high FPS on a 60Hz monitor makes no sense... They also say they do notice the difference... I need to put them in front of a 144Hz monitor...

A Russian man came into the store where I work and explained that he wanted a SATA data splitter cable because he didn't have enough SATA ports on his motherboard. When I informed him that no such cable exists and suggested he try an I/O card solution to add additional SATA ports to his system, he stormed away.

Another customer insisted that WiFi only works with Linux when using integrated motherboard solutions and that dedicated WiFi cards only work on Ubuntu, which he apparently believed is not a Linux distro. This same customer wanted to install an Intel Core i7-5820K on an ASRock H97M-ITX/ac until he learnt that the 5820K features Hyper-Threading Technology. He then told me that he doesn't want anything with Hyper-Threading because it'll cause his computer to overheat.

This isn't really about a non techie persons ( kinda ) but my schools 65 year old IT guy was talking to teachers about a PC he was going build. The teacher just Kindda ignored him because he knew nothing about what he was talking about. I later asked the IT guy what was in the PC he was building, he says with a straight face " nothing to much" this dude has a i7-4790k, 980s in SLI, A triple monitor 4k setup all in a freakign custom loop... I about fainted seeing a 65year old man with an amazing setup. This dude is a legend to me and so, of my friends laugh at me because of it lol

My mom got an S6, and then ordered a case. She couldn't get the phone in the case, so she called Dad to get it in. He is cramming it in. and he hits buttons. HE PUTS IT IN FASTBOOT. THEN GOT IT INTO LINUX TERMINAL AND WHIPED IT. And that was an accident. I'm in my room, playing heavily modded Minecraft IN MY ROOM. I somehow get blamed for what he did. WTF

So my friend complained about how stupid his friend (not me) is for buying a 13" rMBP. Then he says that all Apple products are crap. I ask him why he think so. He says because they just are. I ask him why has no such hate agains Google or Microsoft. He says because he hasn't had any such problems with them, and that his problem with Apple is because it exists. I ask him why isn't that a problem with Google or MS. He says because it just isn't.

My mom used to say something like that, but only about ITX or smaller PCs. She used to say that she liked those small computers that are only the "CPU". She said that for around 3-5 years until I corrected her lol

Edit so I don't have to double post: I remember one of my brothers worked for a local computer store (which I thought was stupid because he's not one of us). Anyway, I think like a week or so after he started working, he said the job was too hard. I asked him why, and he replied "I was told to replace the RAM, but then I said "Um, what's the RAM?" After I heard that, I internally facepalmed.
