Looks like i may have enough for a GTX 1070 at the end of the month. I'm hoping AMD release an RX 490 though, as i'd rather get an AMD gpu.

Bruh,  Paxwell still had dx 12 issues and most of the upcoming AAA games are dx 12.

If I were you I'd wait. I'm personally looking to switch my R9 290X for two RX 480s, as I always wanted a dual-GPU setup ^^

I've just had a word with someone that actually owes me cash, and it seems i should have ~£480 to spend on a new card...

Gonna wait until AMD release the NDA on their new card, and see if they also release a beefier chip to go head to head with the GTX 1070.

so enough to get 2 RX480s? :) I agree with getting AMD cards simply because fuck Nvidia with their proprietary stuff like Gsync, gameworks and whatever with AMD offering open sourced stuff and building their freesync on a standard that already existed instead of having to make monitors $100 more expensive :P. (aka, currently AMD's ethics are better)

I hope the RX 490 is at, or under £350. (Sapphire of XFX model ofc) Then i can use the leftover cash for Overwatch loot boxes. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

polaris 10 can still be 1070/1080 performance...it can can be...maybe they showed us a cut down version of polaris 10 :) but I still need to go shove it in @zMeul's face how he's wrong that polaris 10 is gonna only have the performance of a 380x tops :)

380X tops? Hahahaha, OK. AMD would suicide if they released a rebranded 380X as a "VR ready card under 200$".

    Unless there's a 485,I'll be getting a 480 too.

Pretty sure zMeul got called out for being an idiot, for refusing to accept the AOTS benchmarks uploaded, for the crossfire RX 480's.

    Close enough...

the 2.5X performance increase based on the current products in the mainstream bracket, puts the Polaris 10 performance level around that of the R9 380X - nowhere near to 980Ti

not the argument I've had but still :) (not gonna link the thread for this quote).
