This is so funny someone was asking me the other day about SD cards and here's a video on them. I thought Brandon did a really good job, interesting to see the results

So I hear this word get thrown around a LOT in videos and on forums and I'm still not entirely sure what computer architecture is. Has Linus or anyone similar done any sort of explanations on what it is or am I missing something

I personally really like 8 once you change the file associations so you don't end up in a metro app. It's faster than 7 and who fucking cares about the taskbar that's a terrible argument. Driver management and downloads seem a lot easier, file transfers are faster, and whatever.

When I first built this PC it was because I had been playing Starcraft Brood War for 9 years and Starcraft 2 was coming out

Upgrading CPU (And probably Motherboard)
Ursad0n replied to Ursad0n's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Ty for the suggestions all -
So I'll preface this by saying that it's not likely to happen too soon but I need to know what I'm getting into and how much I need to be saving. When I built my PC I didn't have a ton of money and here I am 5 years later being horribly bottlenecked by my CPU that basically lives at 100%. I recently had to upgrade my graphics card since my last one died so http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JrpYmG <---- is my current PC. And I'll soon be getting a PB278Q from someone soon though I'm not sure how relevant that is. What I need to know is for light gaming, programming, photoshop kinds of things and usually any of those will be paired with Netflix or Livestreams what kind of CPU do you reasonably think I should be looking towards considering I'll need it to last a decent while. And do I need to/should I be upgrading my motherboard at the same time? Thanks in advance!

Is LinusTechTips Moving Away from affordable products?
Ursad0n replied to imthewalrus's topic in General Discussion
He SPECIFICALLY said that it's not really worth anyone's time for him to keep reviewing the same bottom of the line shit over and over because it never changes. It's more towards if you're going to spend a lot of money on something you'd like to make sure you're getting the most bang for your buck -
Ffs do we have to do this again today?
