  1. username: mchiulli this is such an epic giveaway, i did not expect Linus to give away his rig, that's just insane
  2. I recently installed a seidon 120xl into my computer. this is the first liquid cooler i have installed, but as it is closed loop and pre-filled i had no issues other than that i may have over-applied thermal compound. the cooler worked for 4 days very well, but on the fifth when i booted up my computer the temperature of my cpu rose, much higher than it did even with stock cooling, and i was forced to shut it off. The pump light was on, and heat was being transferred to the cooler, and the fans were spinning. As a shot in the dark i replaced the thermal compound, to no effect, other then possibly worse heat conduction (the cooler was not as warm as before, even though the cpu was reaching the same temperatures. If anyone has any idea what could be going on, and what i should do i would be extremely grateful.
  3. Tried to test boot my build and am getting a code for late cpu installation. this is my first build, so I am kind of ignorant as to what this means.
  4. I did both and the issues fixed, thank you
  5. i tried this, and it made the screen dimmer, but did not improve the lines
  6. This is the first monitor I've used that is not a built in laptop screen, and i would like to know if anyone has any tips on calibrating it for better performance in general. More specifically i am having a problem with moving lines on white and light colored sections of the screen, which would be nice to get rid of if possible. i am currently running it through my slow asus laptop through a vgh cable, which could be the issue, but as i have said, i have very little experience with this sort of thing.

  8. I am building a PC, and because this is my first build, i do not have a monitor. I am looking for a cheap monitor, $150 at the very most, and less is better. I also am looking for 1080p, at least 20" in size, vertical position, or the ability to tip into a vertical position, as well as a response time of 5ms at most. Any suggestions are very helpful, and hopefully there is something in these parameters, i as was having a hard time finding one.
  9. the 280 does look better for this price range, but i am running into the same issues, with so many models to choose from. any recommendations?
  10. I am building a PC, and i want a GTX 760. when looking for GPU's, however, I have found many manufactures, and models to choose from, with only fan-boys of different companies yelling at each other on other forums, i have little idea of what company and model to buy. just to clarify, i am looking in the 250-300 dollar range, I do not plan to SLI with this build, and would be open to other chip-sets, if i have missed anything, but from what i have found, the 760 looked like the best thing for this price range. This is also my first build, so i don't want anything with lots of fancy features on it, just a good graphics card for gaming. the 280 does look better for this price range, but i am running into the same issues, with so many models to choose from. any recommendations?
