  1. Ok the issue seems to have solved by itself. I experimented with the last digit of the fstab line, and set it to 2, without having realised that the path was not the same. Both qbittorrent and plex were reporting missing files. So I set the last digit back to 0 and restarted the server. Then I realized the path changed, reconfigured both programs, and now, the drive seems to be properly initializing from the start, and the programs are getting access. I don't exactly know triggered this, but the drive was not mounted in that folder before today. All I know is that a few days ago, there was a system update, and then today, there was a power outtage in my area. I'm not exactly sure how any of these events can lead to changes in the system files, but it is what it is. If I find something else, I'll post, but for now at east, my problem is no more.
  2. I'm kinda stupid for not realizing this earlier, but I actually found the drive in fstab. It was added automatically by the system. What exactly do I need to do to to make it wake up automatically? When the system is powered up, the drive is initialized, but it's in stand by mode. This happens even if the Standby setting is set to Never.
  3. It wasn't available in the set folder either. The drive simply disappears. Do you know a good up-to-date tutorial I can use to mount this drive properly?
  4. Sorry for bumping this, but some people said that I should add a delay to the samba service. Does anyone know how to do that? It would make sure that both the network and the drive are properly initialized.
  5. I tried adding it to fstab, but after a restart, the drive disappeared entirely. I probably did something wrong. I haven't done this in a few years, and the tutorials I found weren't really consistent.
  6. It doesn't look like it, but yet again, I haven't played with the fstab file in a very long time.
  7. Linux has native support for NTFS nowadays. It's been around for a few months, maybe one year.
  8. I have no idea. I think samba starts automatically, because as I said, I only have to access the drive to make it be remappable. no idea about the drive mount, though.
  9. Hello. I installed Linux Ubuntu on another PC so I can use it as a home server. I attached an NTFS drive that I had with some movies and tv shows that I've been hoarding for while. The drive is working just fine locally, but I wanted to share it over the network. So I installed Samba, and made it available from my main PC by network mapping. The problem is, if I restart the server, the network drive becomes inaccessible I get the error you see below. I'm guessing the drive doesn't initialize, or something like that, because once I connect through teamviwer and I open it locally, I'm able to map it and access its content again. Is there any way I can get rid of this hassle and have it initialize as soon as Linux loads?
  10. The Memory Context Restore setting was on auto. I switched it to On, and it significantly reduced the training time to around 5 seconds. Thank you.
  11. Every single boot after the build was made, not just the first. It happens constantly. Thank you, I'll search for that setting.
  12. Hey there, guys. Last week I upgraded my pc with a new motherboard CPU and RAM. The motherboard is an Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 32 GB DDR 5 The PC is working fine, but the post is very slow. After I push the power button, the motherboard stays with the yellow LED on for 27 seconds, during which the fans are all ramped up. After that, the red let is displayed for 1 second, then the green led, which indicates the post. The storage was never changed, and windows is loading just fine. Obviously I googled what the yellow led means (since these details are not in the manual I received), and that seems to be the DRAM led. This is odd, because the ram plates are properly detected, and they're even working in the EXPO mode. Has anyone ever encountered this issue?
  13. I never considered that, thanks. Although, I don't think it will be necessary with the Vengeance kit, cause they're really low in profile. Just checked, and as you suggested, it's "AMD EXPO Profile Ready" I also found the Deepcool AK620 to be available, so out with the Noctua. Everything is now lowered to 878.14 EUR I'd mark both of you the rep, if I could. Thanks a lot for the help. If all goes well, I'll be putting this thing together myself in 3 weeks.
  14. Just looked it up. Their profile is kinda high, and I'm afraid they won't fit under the radiator. Would Corsair's kit work? Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 The page is in romanian, but you can select English from the top right corner.
  15. I honestly have no idea. I just looked for 6400 Hz because it's the maximum supported by the motherboard. Thanks. I'll replace it, then. Mistake The second one was in fact the Noctua NH-D15 cooler.
  16. Thank you for the help. So for now I have: TUF B650-Plus - 202 EUR Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6400MHz - 151 EUR AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D - 454.06 EUR Noctua NH-D15 - 103 EUR It all sums up to around 915 EUR, which is well below the intended budget of around 1200 EUR. Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Maybe can find the cooler you mentioned, and save even more, but the chances are slim. It doesn't seem to be sold in my region at all.
  17. Are you referring to Peerless Assassin 120 SE? I can see it's praised by Gamers Nexus. It doesn't seem to be available in my country but I may get it from somewhere else around the EU. Thanks for the tip. No need for WIFI, because the case is quite big, and this PC wasn't made for mobility. No need for sophisticated DAC, because I also plan to get a dedicated piece that's fitted with an amp, for the headphones I got (BeyerDynamic DT-770 Pro). Also no thunderbolt needed either. I have nothing to use it with. I need DDR5 and support for 5th gen NVMe. From what I understand, the motherboard I have now doesn't allow the SSD to go at full speeds because the lane is shared with other components (don't know the technicality in detail). I'm just going for full performance on the RAM and SSD. Maybe I was unlucky with this piece, I don't know. Basically, at some point it started refusing to shut down properly. I made a thread with that issue, you can check it here. Alongside that issue, the USBs oftentimes remain powered, after shutdown, even though they're not configured to do that.
  18. I'll get a beefy cooler for the CPU, regardless. I'm thinking NH-D15. Should do a fine work, regardless of my choice. And, yeah so far everything I've seen points to AMD. Any advice on the motherboard? The one I have right now is a Z370 Aorus Gaming 7. I'm really not pleased with the problems it's been having, and the support department was entirely useless. I'm pretty much afraid to stay with Gigabyte, to be honest.
  19. Hey there, guys, I've been saving up in the past few months to upgrade my PC. The current PC is by no means bad, but the motherboard has been having some quite annoying glitches, and I've pretty much had enough. Otherwise, it's decent, I could stretch out with it a bit more if I really have to. It has an i7 8700K paired with 32 GB of DDR 4 and an RTX 2080 Super. I'm planning to get a core upgrade. Just motherboard, CPU and RAM, and after I save some more, I'll decide on the GPU. My questions are: What's best for a gaming/streaming/recording rig? Do I go for Intel or AMD? I heard that Intel's latest gen, looks more like a revision, rather than a full gen. So do I wait for the 15th gen lineup, or what? As for AMD, I'm completely clueless about how they have been doing. I'm aiming for full performance and pretty much no bling. Not interested in RGB or other stuff I only inflates the price I'm thinking of something that makes good use of DDR5 memory, and latest generations of SSDs. So, I need advice on which CPU to go for, and also a good motherboard for it. Any help will be appreciated.
  20. Hello. My apologies for the late reply, I've been out of town. Enabling the erp feature only makes things worse. The GPU lights and fans still remain on after the shutdown is complete. The difference now is that after I force the shutdown by holding the button, it turns back on after a few seconds. It won't stay off. Removing the ethernet board didn't do anything, unfortunately.
  21. Hello. I'll just get straight to it: Everytime I shutdown my PC, the GPU's RGB LEDs and all the fans remain powered. To get the PC to turn completely off, I have to force it by holding the power button. The motherboard is a GIGABYTE Aorus Gaming 7. Full PC specs in the signature. This started happening after I installed a PCI Ethernet board in November, last year. So far, I've tried to live with it, because it doesn't actually bother me while I game or work on it. However, I've been gone a few days, and my parents stopped by while I was gone and used the PC. They didn't know about the issue and the rig remained powered like this for a few days, until I returned. Here are pictures with the PC turned on and off: The GPU LEDs are configured to match the LEDs present on the motherboard. Once the shutdown is in theory complete, the GPU LEDs go back to the default configuration (indicating temperature). Also I could notice that the D5 debug code is displayed, which according to the motherboard's manual indicates "No Space for Legacy Option ROM initialization". I honestly don't know what that means. It doesn't help me figure out what's wrong. GIGABYTE's support is trash. I would expect professional help on their own website, but they have no clue. They're telling me to send it back to the vendor, but the board is well outside its warranty and the vendor doesn't offer post warranty service. I'd like some tips on what to look for within the BIOS. I've already tried flashing it, but I've had no luck so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. Update: I tried connecting using Edge, and it worked. I successfully accessed the cockpit control panel. The 2159 error is only caused when I try logging in using Opera... which kinda sucks, cause it's my browser of choice. I'll mark this one solved, for now. Thank you for your assistance, @Master Disaster!
  23. Thank you for replying. And... I already did that. I was getting a certificate warning on the browser. Placing that line in the config, got rid of the warning, and I've been able to reach the login page without any issues. Now, I took your advice and tried connecting using http, instead of https. Something else happens now: I'm not getting that error that directs me to the log. Instead I remain on the login page. The browser even offered to remember the credentials. And when I check the log, I get a different error: cockpit-tls[2159]: cockpit-tls: gnutls_handshake failed: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
