I didn't agree with Linus on his opinion on the matter, to be honest, he kinda sounded a bit of a pompous know-it-all actually... My reasoning for the uproar is not only the fact that they blatantly ripped off the outer design of these cases (as well as other items and accessories), they flat out denied it. Jayztwocents apparently spoke to them and they denied any wrongdoing.
 
To be fair, they didn't copy the internals for those cases, and actually had some good ideas included in them.
 
I think it's more about their intentions behind what they did. 
 
I live in Hong Kong, and people here ALWAYS look for bargains. So while Caselabs doesn't really have a market here, Fractal kinda actually does. Thermaltake just stole their share.
 
They copied the designs for a graphics card waterblock, a full card design, problem is, the VRMs aren't cooled on their version, there just a piece of plastic covering them, which restricts even more air from cooling them. That's trouble.
 
And what about their all-aluminum radiators? You know that's bad.
 
This is all bad business if you think about it.

No. They manufacture the CHIPS. Corsair, G.Skill, etc. take those chips, build the board (so proper process is needed), configures them them, defined the X.M.P profile, and put the heatsink (if needed) on them. What Thermaltake is doing, is like if say, Kingston releases RAM that are identical in everyway to the Corsair Dominator Platnium and just put their name on it. They could have made their own design, their own look, heck similar design but with their own twist to it. But nope. They went with exact replica, but the aluminum for the heat sink is super thin, and paint job is poor (in the RAM example)
That is the problem. They applied no real improvements, they just take what exists now, and make it cheaper. That is all.
One could argue that Fractal Design R series is like Antec P180 series back then. Sure. But if you put them side by side, The Fractal Design is visually different, and have it's own set of improvements (which were substantial in their case)

Cheaper isn't always better mate, many people appreciate quality over price.

For those who doesn't know quality, or have low standards think that way. Speaking in general. Not to be insulting you in any way, but it is true. I am very guilty of this, many ages ago.
I used to literally go and think: "A PSU is a PSU, they are all the same, let's get that one with a case for 30$ together. Oh motherboard 50$!", and so on. This was before I knew much about computers, I was much young and innocent, and Internet forum like this, didn't' really exists, I must say. I never ended up enjoying my purchases. Always had problems. I changed drastically when I had enough of problems and bough high quality product. They are night and day, and now refuse to go cheap budget route. Since I always enjoyed my purchases. Problem free experience, smooth install, does its role amazingly well, which is the same experience that most people here have with their fine system, I am sure.

There are countries that will probably never have Netflix, like Hong Kong. Where I live. And DVDs here are extremely expensive because they import it from the States. Stores here drive up the prices REALLY high.
 
If there was Netflix here, I'd gladly pay for it as well, but we don't. And I won't waste it like you do.
 
Don't be a dick and just close your mind off like that. 

I think torrenting in countries where Netflix is available is wrong, but what about countries that don't have, and probably will never have Netflix? How are they going to watch it? It still isn't right, but I understand why they do it, and won't fault them for it. Just saying.

Allowing people to buy every Tuesday sort of breaks the amount of traffic flooding into the site. This is now being implemented because those that really wanted the Oneplus one, most likely have it by now. This idea has been proven effective by Xiaomi and Oneplus states that right their in the screen shot that it may be a limited thing. 
The way your talking makes it seem like Oneplus is 100% stuck either way and It also seems to be extremely biased due to your apparent dislike of Oneplus. I don't get what your expecting from a company of 88 people selling a phone globally. They've basically tested this 'stupid' idea several times when they opened up sale in the previous events throughout the months. The traffic is manageable and they appear to be alot more comfortable with the supply of devices.

I currently have the Maximus VI formula, and I am very happy with it. There is one thing to really really consider though if you are thinking of doing a custom watercooling loop:
 
The Maximus VI has an aluminum waterblock, although Asus has assured us that it has been coated with something to make sure that it doesn't corrode the other waterblocks in your loop if you have anything else made of copper. Aluminum in a custom loop is generally a no-no.
 
The Maximus VII however, is supposed to have a copper waterblock, which eliminates the corrosion problem completely.

Geez, I don't understand how people can say "Oh now they're copying android phones now boo hoo...". Come on, look at all touch screen phones, they are all basically the same in the front anyway! If it weren't for the sheer difference in screen size you could say the iPads copied android phone design too then!
 
There's only so much you can do with a speaker, screen, and home button in the front. And the home button, by the way, is seen as Apple's signature...
 
I think accusing Apple of copying anyone's design for the new phone isn't fair, considering they started the whole thing years back anyway...

I live in Hong Kong, and there's a big pc supply company here called Centralfield Computer, and they had put up a banner and giant post on their facebook page announcing they were suspending all sales of the 780 ti until everything is cleared up... some sort of severe overheating?
 
The announcement also mentioned that so far there have been no accident reports here in Hong Kong... but better to be safe...
