    Snowed in!

Man you guys and your snow. I spent the day outside organizing the shed and stacking firewood. Winter here just means more rain and less daylight to do stuff outside.
  6. Duct tape or a dremel and a drill just make sure to measure twice cut once. You might want to think about a support for the far end of the card so the weight isn't all resting on the one side.
  7. Got myself a table saw today. Not tech related but I think I'll make a new computer desk this summer. Craigslist is pretty good for cheap tools.
  8. find a local pc repair / computer store they will probably have a bunch sitting around from builds/repairs they have done in the past could probably get them for free or pretty cheap depending on how cool the guys working are.
  9. I can't speak for clear tubing but for solid white I can't really see the difference between acrylic and petg. I had acrylic originally and now I'm using petg and for me personally I'll stick to petg for any future builds. I had 2 leaks from acrylic one pin hole defect from factory and one hairline crack. I Also managed to break a long run on the 4th bend because I tried to tweak it a little as it was cooling. stupid yes but I feel like petg gives me a little extra flex to play with.

  11. option 3 Ikea chair, cpu and cheaper ram edit to snip strawpoll
  12. 5 titan xs 4way sli and a coaster
  13. something like this? http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/30200253/
  14. Finally redid my loop after pulling it apart last year because of a leak. Can say from experience now PETG is way better then acrylic when it comes to installing.
  15. Well might as well throw my name in the hat too maybe we will get lucky idk what I'll do with 128g of ram but I can figure that out when it gets here
  16. I know how you feel I just got screwed by ups they drove by my house and instead of delivering my motherboard they just kept driving and now my tracking page says "An adult signature is required to complete this delivery. UPS will make a second attempt." Me and my mom were both home when they supposedly tried to deliver. They didn't even leave me a stupid sticker saying they attempted delivery they just drove right on by suck bull. Are there any shipping companies worth a damn?
  17. Fittings are not universal you'll have to buy new fittings if you change to hard tubing.
  18. D5 pumps can handle that just fine had mine running 2 980s cpu and dual rads for PSU you could go with something like a 750 or 850 evga g2 gold rated 5 year warranty fully modular decent price monitor is more of a personal preference thing and what type of games you play.
  19. Felt it in Abbotsford only second quake I've been in it's kinda weird when walls are moving.
  20. Was the board with the dead ram slot the original one you sent in because of the cpu error? If so they might have just thrown a single stick in for testing during repair and assumed since no ram issue was reported that the board was fine in that respect. That's just my guess it may cost them some money and time getting 1 board out of 50 back for some secondary issue that comes up but it would save them time in labor on the other 49. I've rma'd 2 boards to asus one last December and another start of this month (both x99 deluxe) First one vrm went killing board and cpu and service was good had back and forth emails throughout. This time however I got nothing from them other then an automated reply with an rma # sent it off and only got an email from them when the board was sent back to me last week. The email didn't have any information about my rma or even a tracking number for the shipment I had to go to their website and check my rma status to get that info.
  21. I'd mount it behind my tv as a htpc/console replacement
  22. hmmm maybe mine is just loud I'll have to tinker with it when I get my watercooling back up and running had a leak and haven't rebuilt the loop yet.
  23. This is a cool idea Might have to try it out some time. On topic I just bought a REALLY big case.
