Yeah there have been quite a few Error 502s in the past couple of weeks, I didn't take screenshots but I'm sure @Gegger and @Tech_Dreamer have experienced similar issues and can agree with me here.

I'm aware that there have been a few more 502s than usual recently (but that's actually because before they would have caused the forum to go properly down), but that's an issue with our hosting setup rather than a bug with the forum software.

I'm more looking for "when I do x and y, I get an error when it should have worked", "when I do z, the ui breaks", etc.

Oh that? for me certain image upload error happens for certain extension or somewhat large sized attachments which gives a -200 error code or something. but if you reduce the size down or change extension it works. i cannot give you exacts details as it happened randomly, it happens on jpg & png at random & sometimes image thats above 2mb in size for me. not always doe, just randomly.

Not sure how minor this is and it's less of a bug.. But removing uploaded .mp4 clips from a quote can be a bit annoying. Would be cool if such a 'handle' were to be added to them:

The 1px gap is actually a problem with your browser rather than a forum issue.

The mp4 thing is a suggestion, and while I will raise it that makes it unlikely to make it into the next release. You can click next to it to place the caret immediately after it, then use backspace to delete it though.

any chance on a possible individual status notification chat mute button you can use where you replied something & other people are going on with a conversation & flooding your notification as "this guy replied" for the next 30 replies.

There have been some quirks, but those are very situational. Like when I type up a reply to a topic, press submit and if between me opening the thread and pressing 'submit', the thread is merged into another thread; I get sent to the merged thread and my reply gets lost.

But that's super situational, so I am not even sure if I'm describing it too well here.

i did get a few 502s at least a week ago, but i can't say i've gotten one in the past week

@Tech_Dreamer that's way not in scope for minor bugs. However, you may be pleasantly surprised when the update comes around.

@minibois that's a good one. It's not likely to get fixed any time soon, because it's a pretty fundamental flaw in the forum architecture, but I'll report it to them in the off chance that they decide it's worth adding some kind of workaround.

I have an MP4 that if i try to upload it doesn't start uploading at all. 5.5MB and it doesn't error  it just doesn't.

oh & this weird bug i encounter a few times. sometimes the edit box messes up when you type in long wall of text or paragraphs, it happens when you stay too long on the reply/text editor window most of the time. have seen this on status updates  & occasionally on thread posts & mostly while i was doing a topic edit for a news topic post(which most of the time takes 15-30 minutes for me if i'm committed).  if you jump somewhere in the middle or wherever in between a paragraph to add an info or edit a set of lines & mark the spot with the mouse to start typing or press backspace to edit, it auto jumps down a few lines randomly & starts from there & gets stuck there for that specific paragraph spot or line even if you come back & click the spot over & over again .

feel like it's an auto save feature bug where it's refusing to edit over a pre-saved text. do look into that. most of the time when this happens i save the topic or submit reply & come back to the edit again & the problem goes away.

Another kind of weird bug I don't know how it's caused, is sometimes users post something with large text and I just can't remove the formatting.

For example here:

The OP made two replies with large text.

With both, if I quote, select text and press the 'remove formatting'-button, it does nothing.

In the end, I tried:

- Cut > Paste without formatting (Ctrl+Shift+V), which sometimes work..

and

- Cut > Paste in notepad > Copy > Paste / Paste without formatting.

It was kind of inconsistent what worked.. But mainly it's just the 'remove formatting' button that didn't help.

 Another very minor bug is with some emojis, if you select them and press 'remove formatting', it will enlarge them (because certain emoji's are of course resized to be smaller). Not sure how manageable that would be to code in.

Odd feature suggestion ,  a "quote without image" option(quick snip/quote feature) would be useful for certain topics with lots of pics like build log & or quote feature(quick snip) which reduced the text frame size beyond a certain word count . when quoting someone with a huge wall of text it would reduce down to  display a small paragraph with a  "..."  as continued indicator instead of  fully quoting the wall of text as is down to the reply. would be useful to get  a clean feel to the threads when multiple discussions are going on.

If you can get a reliable repro for this I would be interested, but I have no idea why that could be happening and haven't seen it myself, so I don't know where to report it to to try and get it fixed. It shouldn't be anything to do with autosave because it only tries to recover the save when you load the page, but I don't know what it should be anything to do with.

That happens because the OP copied the text from an external site, where the formatting was applied using html semantic markup (<h1> in that case) rather than CSS. The remove formatting button only works on CSS and stylistic markup (<b> etc), which is a deliberate decision on the part of the editor developers.

It looks like it may be possible for me to override that to add more tags, but I can't guarantee that it will work.

it happens very rarely & randomly, i'll install a screen recorder for now & try to catch it. send you a gif or a video of it when it happens.
