This needs to be addressed, and not just in a WAN Show segment.

I'm not running a multi-million dollar company, and I'm not responsible for hundreds of people's livelihoods, but in my opinion, it would be the best thing to do to cut down the quantity of videos in favor of quality. A mistake here and there is fine; after all, we are all just human, but some of the bigger ones just can not happen.

Again, I don't know how it would affect their bottom line, but some changes need to happen. In the end, LMG has a responsibility to their viewers because many of us influence purchasing decisions by implicitly trusting the accuracy of reviewers. This is not to be taken lightly.

I love LMG and I hope they can learn from this.

I made account here just to tell you how EXTREMLY angered i am by all of this. If only 10% of what GN claims is correct (and i presume most of it if not all actually is) this will be one of the biggest f-ups in the industry. I will wait for wanshow and if linus does not explains 90% of this stuff i am unsubscribing. I am  angered beyond belive. This is just insulting

I would recommend going to a i3 for more cores... 8 gigs is enough for most vm's, but it depends on your needs with it

Take a common 60FPS computer rig, then start to bottle neck a component individually until it hits a dramatic FPS loss or 30 FPS.

Eg: reduce clock speed until dramatic performance loss, return the system back to spec, then reduce ram speed or quantity until dramatic loss, then return to original spec, then video card swapped down until it drops to below 30FPS. Also a potentially common issue, 1 exhaust fan in a case without any other fan ventilation possibly causes thermal throttling.

Do every main component that can factor playability of games. Including hard drives with can cause objects to appear long after they should have due to loading objects slowly in larger world style games.

The idea behind this is to determine minimum hardware for 60FPS and 30FPS, also when and where bottlenecks bring the rest of your system down.

This is a everyday struggle for some. I found my AMD 1075T bottlenecks Farcry Primal from 60 to 26FPS in the benchmark. Changed up to a 6800K clocked at 4GHZ and it holds 60FPS the whole time. V-sync on, I only like tearing on jeans. Zotac GTX 980 on both systems.

I've added a new payment method that uses a different PayPal flow (and might require you to manually renew, I'm not quite sure). It's currently only displayed to users in Germany, so if you are having issues with PayPal not allowing you to subscribe, I'd appreciate it if you could try the alternate payment method in the checkout, and let me know if it works.

Is there a way to make the yearly payment not a subscription? So you need to manualy pay it once a year. This should work as a workaround, because I was able to contribute to the Office crowdfunding campaign via paypal.

    Hello,

I wanted to subscribe to the Floatplane Early-Access today but unfortunately I get a message saying that "my PayPal account is registered in a country where automatic payments are not allowed". While this message indicates otherwise, the PayPal support said the vendor has to enable other countries than their own (maybe germany specifically) for subscriptions. I was able to subscribe to Vessel and others like Crunchyroll without any issues in the past so this doesn't seem to be general "ban" on subscriptions for germany.

An alternative for those affected would be to offer an option to get a prepaid version of the Floatplane subscription, that should work from germany and other countries where it's currently not possible otherwise.

    Thanks!
