  1. No Can I change the lettering without losing any data?
  2. Hi there, I have a second system with 3 SATA drives. Two of which are 4TB HDD's and a 120GB SSD When I added a third 2TB HDD, it doesn't show up. I unplug one of these HDD's, and my 2TB drive shows up just fine. What can I do to fix this? Please note, I have two systems at the moment: One for editing and One for Cold storage. The system I am talking about is MY COLD STORAGE SYSTEM All these aforementioned drives show up fine in my main system My Cold storage system specs are: i5 4690k z97m D3h 8GB DDR3 2x 4TB WD Blue 1X 2TB WD BLUE 1x Samsung 750 Evo (120GB)
  3. If it isn't mentioned there, then, it is safe to assume the answer is no
  4. Hello! I currently have this power supply in my system. I am looking to go with a 5900x since it is better for Autodesk and other VFX applications compared to my Ryzen 5 3600. I also have a RTX 3060 with 32GB of RAM. And I am looking to switch to this CPU cooler. Is this power supply enough? Online Calculators are saying that 690watts is suffice. But I feel that is cutting it too close. I probably WON'T be overclocking. But since it is for VFX work, the system uptime can be something like 3 days continuously. And the system may have a sustained 95% CPU load for over 24 hours at a time. (Yes VFX really is that intense on your computer, especially when you choose to do fluid/hair/particle simulation) Can a supply like this handle it? Can this cooler handle it?
  5. Okay So... seems like many of you didn't read the other responses I got here and by extension didn't read my replies to those said responses either. Simply put: My internet is Optical fiber My main PC reports 150mbps. My second PC has a 2.4G usb wifi card with 802.11 b,g,n My router is a nokia ONT G-2425G-A it has 2x2 MiMO (on both bands) 802.11 b,g,n,ac Dual band network My main PC is linked to the router by ethernet. I checked twice and the ethernet cable is definitely CAT6A So basically, the transfer speed bottleneck here is the 2.4G USB wifi card on my second PC? And if that is the case, my copy speed will be a maximum of 2 Megabytes Per Second whether I use windows file share or File Zilla to transfer files between my two PCs that are on the same network? (One is on 2.4G wifi and other is on ethernet with a CAT6A cable)
  6. Hang on... You get speeds of 2 megabytes per second over the network? That's what I am getting at least.
  7. So, this sounds like a very dumb question, but I want to know, is there any advantage of going with a system with 4TB of HDD space over a 4TB USB HDD for cold storage?
  8. This is my wifi card https://www.tp-link.com/in/home-networking/adapter/tl-wn725n/ Router is a nokia ONT G-2425G-A Provided by the ISP. It Has 802.11 B/G/N/AC 4 ethernet ports(1000) 2x2 MIMO on both bands
  9. By What wifi, do you mean, the wifi standard of my wifi card on my second PC? or wifi standard of my router?
  10. My plan has a speed of 150mbps up and down over LAN. (It's fiber optic) My router is dual band, its just that I was cheap and bought a 2.4G receiver for my second PC.
  11. Okay, fair enough. I understand that in a situation where both computers are on the same network, windows file share is easier. But the speeds are horrible. I want something faster and something that will work for when both computers aren't on the same network. Also, 2MBPS transfer speed on windows file sharing isn't fast enough.
  12. Yea, I did try windows folder share, it is VERY slow. They are both on the same network and I wanna share files between them over my home network. But, if there is a solution which allows me to share files to two different computers that are not on the same network,I would be happy.
  13. I have two PCs at home. Both are connected to the same network. One is connected by LAN One is connected by 2.4 Wifi I want to transfer files between these windows 10 PCs. The only thing is, the files are massive, like atleast 100GB. How do I transfer files between these two PCs over the internet? I found filezilla, but it is a nightmare to setup that thing since I have no coding skills at all. Is there any FTP solution that can do it for free? I am doing this as just a hobby.
  14. So, let's go off topic here for a minute. I put win 10 on it. What can I do with this system other than PLEX and HTPC and Gaming and a cold E mailing server? How about a VPN server? An Adblocker for my home network? etc etc etc
  15. Much higher speed? as in "much higher speed over a windows network file share"? My wifi card is limited to 150mbps. Though I have AC Wifi. The wifi card isn't AC wifi though compatible though.
  16. I have a 4690k GTX 1060 6GB 8GB DDR 3 120GB SSD As spare hardware, and I just built a NAS out of it. I paid 20 USD for a case and wifi card. 103 USD For 4tb SATA HDD. And 60 USD For a PSU. Did I just rip myself off by building a second system for just cold storage? Now because it has a GTX 1060, I can do some light gaming, plex and 0 USD Ad free Youtube etc. But, just on the cold storage aspect of it, did I just rip myself off? I was looking at prices for cloud storage Google Drive is 6500 INR (86 USD) Per year for 2TB MEGA is 13,250 INR per year for 8TB (175 USD) One Drive is 6,500 INR (85 USD) for 6TB Per year All told the system cost me 15,000 INR (197 USD). So it seems like I have ;-;
  17. I went to lttstore.com I laid my eyes on the LTT Case shirt. I legit thought at first glance, that it was a shirt promoting Renault Motors I found that really strange
  18. that is an awful price. i world pay closer to 160
  19. Gigabyte is pretty much new Deepcool is an RMA unit
  20. Hello people, A friend of mine has 2 PSU'S for sale (at a very good price). They're both brand new and I am confused as to which one to pick The PSU's are Gigabyte P550B (80 bronze) Deepcool PM 650 (80 gold) For all I know, they might just be bombs, so I ask you guys, which one should I pick? My components are i5 4690k z97m d3h GTX 1060 6GB 8GB DDR3 2 SATA HDD 120 GB SSD Also, I'll use it more like an HTPC cum NAS. No 24 hour operation whatsoever
