My 8TB WD Reds are pretty noisy. They aren't designed to be quiet. I keep my NAS pretty far from me.

I seldom buy stuff just because it's BF. If there's a purchase I want, usually I'll try to hold off to BF to see if I can save a few bucks.

I just swung about ~$200 off a NAS + Drive combo, and I was planning on picking up in the near future regardless.

Last BF I bought my setup, and saved ~$500 on my monitor, and an additional easy $300+ on my system. I've also been picking away at parts for my rifle build that I'm getting regardless. It's good for a few bucks here and there.

@mosti very sorry about the mistake on your order, and rest assured, if you wish for a refund we will of course provide you with one. We did have an issue where the configurator IDs did get generated incorrectly and it didn't show the pro enabled option or the pro combs. We again though are happy to offer a refund on this, or we are also offering priority remakes (free of charge obviously) if you would rather. Our support team will get back to you immediately though if you already put in a ticket. Our team does have some time off because of Thanksgiving though of course so please give them some time to get back to you accordingly, but they will get you taken care of, rest assured.

macOS has apparently always has always sent data, unencrypted through to apple (and in turn the US Government), and their latest update circumvents all programs that try to stop it, as well as any VPNs.

Your lack of "online" privacy has apparently carried over to activity you do offline. I think it's safe to say there isn't anything you do ever, that isn't tracked, collected, monitored, shared, etc. It's spiraling out of control and it's very hard to manage. I really hope Linux becomes more viable in the coming years so I can completely make the switch from Windows.

The difference is that you do know Discord is doing this while you don't know that macOS is. In fact, you trust macOS to do the opposite, since it's the software running the entire show.

Discord is just an app. We know it's not private. macOS meanwhile is the entire operating system. Discord doesn't know what apps you're running or how long it's open unless it's a game or you tell it to recognize this app. macOS does, and it reports this back to Apple, even if you tell it not to. That's what the difference is.

From my understanding, it does it regardless. A tool was made to block this, and with the latest OS release, Apple went out of its way to block such application from working.

To be entirely fair, the only reason why people say that Apple respects your privacy is because Microsoft and Google are even worse (and by a lot).

Did anyone really trust that Apple did what they claimed and respected the privacy of customers? Cause I sure as hell didn't, and I'm not surprised by this.
