Ryzen 3600 | MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX - voltages
IoWii replied to IoWii's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
UPDATE: Reinstalled Ryzen Master, now a tab "Average Core Voltage" appeared and voltages are now dropping under 1V at idle. Also task manager isnt stuck at CPU Speed at 4.12GHz anymore. I guess everything was just bugged. Scores in cinebench r15 do match what other people are getting. I guess everything fixed itself now. -
Ryzen 3600 | MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX - voltages

Aida64 pushes it to 93C, clocks are around 3.95-4GHz. Also ambient temp is around 25-27C Just found this thread, I have never seen voltage this low. All of his Voltage control settings look a bit different tho? -
Ryzen 3600 | MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX - voltages
IoWii posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello, just recently i built a new PC, with a Ryzen 3600 and MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, everything works, no hiccups so far. The only thing that seems wierd to me, are voltages, especially at idle. Mine do not drop below 1.34V. I have set the minimum processor state in power plan settings, to 5%, tried 1% also, but no change in voltages, but clocks do drop to around 200MHz. Ryzen master says that at desktop doing nothing, all 6 cores are "sleeping" but voltages are still at 1.34V. I have read online that at idle, voltages should drop below 1.2V. My temperatures atm, when writing this post with 4 tabs of chrome open, are hovering around 45C, while gaming, atleast in BF5 it hovers around 80-90C ( im using the stock cooler, the wraith steath). Is this something I should be worried about, or is this completely normal for Zen 2? BIOS has been updated to the latest one, so have the chipset drivers. -
Will do as someone already suggested, is there any difference between a 1660 and 590? Reputable brands such as Gigabyte,MSI, are atleast 50 EUR more over the Sapphire 590.

Does this apply only for USA or Europe aswell?

Im ordering online.
-
Yes it is the a400, thanks for the heads up

This builds costs 790EUR, just under my 800-850 EUR mark where I want it to be. I dont know where i will order, maybe from Austria or my home country where prices are a little bit higher, its left to be decided (the same build costs around 50EUR more when shopping here). Main use is at this moment strictly gaming, later down the road, probably something productive, as this is for my younger brother, which currently does not do any productivity.

Hello, I am planning a computer to build this summer, this is where i left it at: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX black 16GB 3000MHzStorage: Kingston 480gb ssdVideo Card: Sapphire RX 590 NITRO+Case: Thermaltake Versa J22Power Supply: be quiet! System Power 9 600W I am pretty happy with where i got it, the only two questions I have are, is the 590 worth around 40EUR more over the 580? This 590 currenlty costs 230EUR. How is the motherboard VRM quality, I have read somewhere that Gigabyte and Asus dissapointed in this department and the MSI Tomahawk B450 is much better in terms of VRM quality, how is with updating the BIOS to the latest one for 3rd gen on these B450 boards without a 2nd or 1st gen CPU? Thanks for the help!

Wouldn't it be better if he tried to get an i7 2600 or i7 3770? Maybe even K's? I had an i5 3450 paired with an r9 380 OC'ed, and in Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, GTA V, my CPU was at 100% for most of the time. Swapped it with the i7 2600 and difference was quite big, especially in PUBG i got around 15+ fps. Now in battlefield 5, my i7 is almost 95% of the time at 95-100% usage. Based on my experience it would be a better choice just because of HT. Anyone got a different opinion?

AsRock P67 PRO3 SE vs AsRock P67 PRO3
IoWii replied to IoWii's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Yes that is what im planning to do, 400MHz OC and a bit od BCLK. Would the SE board be good enough for that? -
Hello, im looking to upgrade my h77 board to a board that supports changing the multiplier as I want to squeze as much as i can out of my i7-2600. On eBay i found AsRock P67 PRO3 SE for cheap, but I cannot find any info on what is its difference to the AsRock P67 PRO3. Does anyone have any info?

Hmmm, even at 5GHz the 9900k does not go beyond 300W? thanks for your help, we'll try to find one that has one, on the tier list i just noticed that exists, but if we cant (it has to be available in our country) we'll settle for the one you linked. Thanks Just noticed this exists, searching for one on there now. Thanks!
